XOXOXOXO Inspired By 109

Jan. 30, 2020

It's time for a new challenge at Inspired By!

How does this photo inspire you???  Is it the XO? the flowers?, the theme? the table? the setting?  We can't wait to see what you create?

My card is created on a white card base.  I cut a Real Red panel with a stitched retangle die.  Then I cut the XOXO paper panel with a stitched die.  The XOXOXO  was cut in red four times and once in black for lots of dimension.  I used the Simon Says Stamp XO Border Wafer Die to create this sentiment.  I cut 3 red hearts with dies and then 3 black conversation hearts.  Who doesn't love conversation hearts?  The company that made these dies is no longer in business.  Sorry!

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Check out all the inspiration from the Design Team.  We sure hope you will play along with us this week!

Your Heart is One in a Million Paper Players 475

Jan. 26, 2020

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The amazingly talented Joanne is our hostess this week.  She has a fabulous sketch for all of us.

I had a lot of ideas for this challenge, but I am way behind on my Valentine stash, so I decided to go with hearts.

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a stitched panel in Rich Razzleberry.  I trimmed a white panel with a postage die and embossed it with polka dots.  The hearts are stamped in Rich Razzleberry and Strawberry Slush inks.  The hearts are from MFT Cute Conversation Hearts stamp set.  I cut the hearts out with the matching dies.  The sentiment is from MFT Sweet Nothings Sentiments stamp set.  I backed the white triangle with Strawberry Slush card stock.  A ver simple card, but I know everyone loves conversation hearts!

Sassy Since Birth Freshly Made Sketches 419

Jan. 25, 2020

I am playing along with Lee Ann's sketch at Freshly
Made Sketches!  Such a fun sketch and perfect for the card I wanted to create!

My card is created for my best friend from college, Mary!  She loves to shop as much or more than me.  I love the PI girls from MFT, so I used the Happy You Day stamp set.  I paper pieced her sweater, skirt and balloon and colored her with Copic Markers.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.  The background paper is full of shopping items.  The sentiment is heat embossed on black with white embossing powder.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Hope you are having a great day!  Thanks for stopping by my blog.

My card is created on an Olive Green card base.  I added a black panel on top of the base. I created a background on watercolor paper using Distress Inks.  I stamped the trees in black using the Rubbernecker Stamp set Winters Night.  The snow is from the same stamp set and I stamped it on top of the trees with white ink.  I love the way this turned out.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink.  It is a very simple and serene card.  I know it is not traditional Christmas colors, but I wanted it to look like the sunrise on Christmas morning.  I love the way it turned out. I made two of the same cards to start my stash for next Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by!  Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!  Do you have a favorite?

The hop is hosted by the fabulous Kelly Lunceford's blog, so head over there to start from the beginning.

Jan. 23, 2020

It's time for a new challenge at Inspired By!

This month is passing by quickly and this photo reminds me that Spring is coming.

How does this photo inspire you?  Is it the colors? flower? letters? symbols? clusters?

I was inspired by the colors and the flowers.  I love this bright green and turquoise color combo.  I used a cover plate die to create the background.  The vase , flowers and sentiment are from the Simon Says Stamp Mandy's Flowers stamp set.  I colored the vase and flowers with Copic Markers.  A few grey enamel dots were added to complete my card.

Serenity Now Inspired By Challenge 107

Jan. 16, 2020

It's Thursday and we have a new challenge at Inspired By!

How are you inspired by the picture? colors? texture? bold print? sketch?

The older I get, I cherish "quiet" time.  It restores my soul.  There are so many distractions in our busy lives.  I love times when there is NO TV, internet or phone.

I have to laugh that I chose a girl doing yoga because I don't practice yoga.  I know I need to, but they told me I couldn't talk in class, so I decided it wasn't for me!  LOL!

I created a background on watercolor paper using Distress Inks.  I love the way it turned out.  My little girl is from MFT Stamps.  She is a Pure Innocence girl.  I love these stamps.  This on is called PI Serenity.  I colored her with Copic Markers, paper pieced her shirt and cut her out with the matching die.  The sentiment is stamped on black and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I cut the ends of the black sentiment to create a banner.  A few black enamel dots completed my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Check out all the inspiration from the Design Team.  We sure hope you will play along with us this week!

The challenge will end on Friday Jan.24th @ 6pm EST.

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a black panel on top of the card.  The swirled paper was in my stash and I cut it with a scalloped die.  I added 3 polka dot banners cut with a die to match the sketch.  I wrapped black and white Baker's twine around the panel before adhering it to the card.  The black heart if cut using a heart die.  I added a little white and black heart to the center. I decided not to add a sentiment on the outside.  I liked it just the way it was.  I love the swirl in the paper and didn't want to distract from it.  I will add a sentiment inside.

Wishing You Everything Happy PP473

Jan. 12, 2020

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The marvelous Anne Marie is our hostess this week and she has a bold, vibrant color challenge for all of us.  Have fun and we can't wait to see what you create.

My card was created for my Dear Friend, Roxanne.  Her birthday was this week so, I used the color combo for her card.

The base card is white.  I added a piece of Poppy Parade on top of the card.  I used the SugarPea Designs Starburst Cover Plate  to cut the white starburst panel.  I cut an Olive Green circle using the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Circle Dies to cut the center circle.  The little girl, gifts and sentiment are  from the MFT BB Sweet Birthday Images stamp set.  I colored her with Copic Markers.  I added Glossy Accents to the icing.  Wink of Stella was added for lots of shine.  It turned out to be such a happy card! I love this color combo!
