Hope You Have A Beautiful Day--CMCC No 85

August 22, 2015

Today I am playing along with the wonderful Design Team at Colour Me...!  I adore the color combination for their challenge and knew what I wanted to create.

My base card is white card stock (5 1/2 X 4 1/4).  The next layer is cut with a stitched rectangle die.  I added Zig Clean Marker to the top portion and squirted it with water to create my background.  After it dried, I added the sentiment from the WPlus9 Doodle Buds stamp set with black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.   I watered down some black ombre ink and flicked a few ink splatters on the background to bring in more gray.  Fun foam was added to the back of the watercolor panel to make it have dimension off the base card.

The flowers were stamped with Momento Black ink on water color paper.  I colored them with Zig Clean Brush Markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.  I know gray leaves may seem odd, but they worked with the palette.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!  I love to hear from you so, please leave a comment.

Wishing you a beautiful day!

SMILES---FMS 200 and ctd356

August 20, 2015

Today is a very special blog because it is for the Freshly Made Sketches 200th Challenge!  WOW!  That is such an amazing accomplishment.  I have to admit, I have played along since I started card making and the Design Team has been a valuable resource for me.  The inspiration and ideas I have received from their work is priceless!  So ladies, THANK YOU for all you do for us!  Best Wishes on your achievement!!!!!!!

I am also playing along with the Color Throwdown Challenge!  The colors this week are orange, black and green!  I wanted to use my new stamp and die set by WPlus 9--Doodle Buds.  It is such a fun, whimsical set!

My base card is white.  (5 1/2 X 4 1/4)  The next layer is Tangerine Tango. (5 1/4 X 4)  I stamped the retired Stampin' Up! Hardwood stamp on an extra piece of white with black ink.  I did stamp it off once, so it looks more gray.  I cut off two panels of the wood to use as my trim pieces.  I adhered the woodgrain piece, the white strip at the top and then attached the trim.  I added two Basic Gray candy dots to appear as nails.  It is a little difficult to see the top piece of trim because is it covered by the flowers.

I stamped a variety of flowers and leaves on watercolor paper and colored them with my Zig Clean Brush Markers.  The more I use them, the more I love them.  The colors are so bright and vibrant.  I used the Winnie and Walter--Smiles Die for my sentiment.  I cut it out 5 times with Basic Black card stock and used my two way glue pen to adhere them together.  Lots of Wink of Stella was used on the flowers, leaves and sentiment for shine and sparle!

I am so happy you stopped by my blog today.  Thank you!  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I do love to hear from you!

Have a TERRIFIC THURSDAY!
