Sending Love & Hugs--The Challenge #92

July 20, 2017

It's Thursday and time for a new challenge at The Challenge!

Each week we have a fun challenge for you to try!!! We do a different style of challenge each week! We like to mix things up and keep them fresh! This week we have a Colour Challenge for you!

A few rules to keep things fun and fair!
1. Use the challenge to create a NEW card.
2. Please add the challenge graphic to your blog post (copy and paste).
3. Have fun and comment on the submissions of others.
4. Anything that is offensive to myself or to my viewers will be removed.
5. You are welcome to link with other challenges.

My card is created on a white card base.  I used the Reverse Confetti Leaves Cover Panel to create the frame using white card stock.  I cut a piece of black card stock to mount behind it.  I stamped the words "love & hugs" with Versa Mark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder.  The sentiment "Sending" was cut four times with Real Red and adhered together for dimension.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.  The flowers were stamped using My Favorite Things Doodled Blooms and cut out with the matching dies.  I colored in part of the flowers with a red Copic Marker.  A few black enamel dots were added for fun.

Our Design Team has amazing cards to inspire you.  Check out their blogs for lots of ideas and inspiration.  You won't be disappointed!

My card is created for my precious Robert's 3rd birthday.  I always call him my little pirate.  I used a white card base and found a piece of red and white striped paper in my stash for the background.  Black card stock stripes were cut to place on top of the stripes.  I added a white circle cut with SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Circle dies and embossed it with a striped embossing folder.  Then I cut an open banner for a frame using SU banner dies.  My little pirate and parrot are from My Favorite Things Party Like A Pirate stamp set and cut out with the matching dies.  I colored them with Copic markers and added Wink of Stella for shine.  The sentiment is from the same set and heat embossed in white powder.  A few enamel dots were added for fun.

Smiles! PP#353

July 16, 2017

It is an exciting day for my family!  My son, John is marrying his beautiful fiancĂ© today!  I am so happy for them.  I am home in Indiana with my family.  It is so wonderful to have special time with all of them.

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!  I am the hostess this week!  I love summer water fun and I thought it would be fun to create cards with this theme.   The challenge is Clean and Simple so remember to limit your layers and embellishments.

I am also entering my card in the Fusion Challenge.  They have a beach inspiration scene this week, too!

My card is created on a white card base.  I used an old favorite stamp set Gorgeous Grunge to create this fun background.  I used a variety of distress inks on watercolored paper with the stamps and created the sky and sand.  I spritzed it with water and this fabulous background came to life.  I loved it!  I trimmed  it with Avery Elle Wonky Border dies.  The little elephant is from one of my favorite new stamp sets Beach Day from Neat and Tangled.  I colored the elephant with Copic Markers.  The sentiment is cut four times using the Winnie and Walter Cutaways dies.  I used Chocolate Chip for the base and 3 layers of Pool Party card stock to create the sentiment.  I added Wink of Stella and  Glossy Accents for shine.  I also added Glossy Accents to the beach ball.  The sun is cut from a piece of watercolored paper that I stamped after using distress inks to create this color for the sun. Clear sparkling sequins were added for shine.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.
