Mr. & Mrs. PP#370

November 12, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Our magnificent Nance is the hostess this week and she has a lovely color challenge for all of us.  I love white on white cards.  I needed a wedding card, but there are so many possibilities for this challenge.  So, get creative and have fun!

I used the Reverse Confetti Leaves Cover panel to create the background.  I stamped the Mr. and Mrs. using the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations stamp set with black Memento ink.  I cut out a rose and leaves using the Stampin' Up! Rose Garden Thinlet Dies. That's all there is too it.  Easy Peasy!

My card is created on a white card base.  I cut a pink frame using MFT Blueprints dies.  The stitched white rectangle was cut using the same dies.  I added splotches of paint with the W Plus 9 Ink Splats stamp set using different distress inks. The paint brushes and pot were stamped using the Stampin' Up! Crafting Forever Clear Mount stamp set.  I colored them with Copic Markers.  The sentiment is from the same set.  A few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and Wink of Stella was added for shine.  I just love this color combo!

Nature Gives To Every Season-PP #317

October 16, 2016

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The multi-talented Nance is our hostess this week!  She is challenging us to create a Clean and Simple style project using leaves.   Fall has finally arrived in GA.  I hope you are experiencing cooler days wherever you live!

My card is created on a white card base.  The top layer is stamped with a frame from Rubbernecker Stamps- Freehand Border using Momento Cocoa ink.  The leaves are from Stampin' UP! Vintage Leaves set.   The sentiment is from Verve Stamps.  Clean and Simple is hard for me, but I love the way this turned out.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

SMILES--PPA272

October 19, 2015

I haven't been in my craft room for days.  Had my GRANDS here to play and that doesn't lead to much time to craft.  They are 6, 3 and 1.  Lots of LOVE in one bed!  I had so much fun with them!

I love the sketch at Pals Paper Arts this week.  I had an idea and I am so happy I was able to find a minute to make the card this afternoon.

I am a huge fan of plaid and it is in "STYLE" again!  Preppy at it's finest!  YIPPEE!  My base card is black.  The plaid paper is from Paper Studio.  I found it in my stash.  I used a strip of green patterned paper from the Carta Bella paper pack.  The sled from Winter Wishes (Stampin' Up!) was stamped in black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The "smiles" die from Winnie and Walter was cut on black paper 5 times and then once in Cherry Cobbler.  I glued them together with the Stampin' Up! two way glue pen.  Wink of Stella was added on top of the sentiment for shine.  I found this Cherry Cobbler twine in my stash and loved it with this wintery card.  I added a few black enamel dots for fun.

I used to make myself finish the cards inside and have gotten out of the habit.  I had to go back and finish all my Halloween cards and it wasn't that much fun.  So, with that being said, I am going to make myself  finish each card and make a matching envelope before I start a new project.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!  Please leave a comment.  I love to hear from you!  I enjoyed making this card because it reminded me of winters in Indiana.  My Daddy used to pull our sleds behind his tractor.  I am not a fan of cold, but those memories are precious to me!

Linda Callahan--this is for you!  I know you have snow already!  XXX

Nature Gives To Every Season A Beauty All It's Own--PP267

October 19, 2015

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!  The multi-talented Nance, is our lovely hostess this week and she wants us to create a "Clean and Simple" card using leaves!  Fall's beautiful array of colors are magnificent and we can't wait to see what you create!

My base card is white.  I cut the top layer with the SugarPea Designs--Zig Zag Design Dies using watercolor paper.  The Vintage Leaves-Stampin' Up! stamp set was used.  I masked some of the leaves when I changed colors to add dimension.

The sentiment is from Verve Stamp--Every Season Plain Jane.  I stamped it in vintage Versa Fine Ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I absolutely love this sentiment!  I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp from Stampin' Up to add some grunge. This card was very easy to make, but I think it speaks volumes.  Clean and Simple is always difficult for me, but I am happy with the outcome.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!
