You're Eggstra Special PP435

March 31, 2019

Today we celebrate our Addison's 10th birthday!  I don't know how she could possibly be 10!!!  A huge day for her because she is now "double digits"!  She had her party yesterday and it was a big hit.  She is so kind, thoughtful, smart, beautiful  and the girl that made me a Grammy!  She owns a piece of my heart!

!

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.  The lovely Laurie is our hostess this week and she has a fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge for us.  I always love these challenges because the possibilities are endless!

My card is created using the diagonal--Easter, Embossing and Patterned Paper!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a top white panel and embossed it with a polka dot embossing folder.
The basket was created using the Reverse Confetti Basket Confetti Die.  I added polka dot paper for the ruffle using the same die.  The grass is cut out of patterned paper using the Lawn Fawn Meadows Border Die.  I cut two in order to layer them.  The bunny, butterflies  and eggs are from MFT SY Easter Bunnies stamp set.  I stamped them in Moments black ink and colored them with Copic Markers.  I cut them out with the matching dies.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.  The sentiment is stamped in black ink.  I covered the envelope flap in the same polka dot paper.

I chose Sketch # 555 for my card this week.

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a white panel on the top of the card that I embossed.  I cut a white doily circle for the round element.  The cake is stamped in Versa Fine ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder.  The cake is from Stampin Up! Cake Soiree stamp set.  I used the Sweet Cakes Framelits to cut out the silver foil cake plate.  I added a silver foil and black card stock banners at the top of the card.  I heat embossed the sentiment on black with silver embossing powder.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Lesley Croghan (off this month)

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a piece of black and white stripes from the MFT paper pack.  The first card has the vertical stripes and the second has the horizontal stripes.  I distressed two different pieces of watercolor paper.  One with Twisted Citron and the other with  Festive Berries and then I used the MFT Ho Ho Ho Die to cut out the words.  I used the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die for the top white panel.  I used the Ho Ho Ho die on top of the white panel and then adhered the letters for the HO HO HO sentiment.  The sentiment is from SugarPea Designs Here Comes Santa Claus stamp set.  I stamped it in Versa Fine ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder on black card stock.  A few black enamel dots were added to complete my cards.

The Santa Claus is from the same set and so is the inside sentiment.  I also added the striped papers to the envelope.

Thanks for stopping by!  Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!

The hop is hosted by the fabulous Kelly Lunceford's blog, so head over there to start from the beginning.

He Is Risen PP434 and SSC201

March 24, 2019

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!  I am excited that I could combine these two challenges this week!

The beautiful colors at the Sunday Stamps Challenge are so gorgeous for Spring!  Please use a minimum of 3 colors and a neutral of your choice.

The amazing Joanne is our hostess at The Paper Players this week.  She has a fun sketch for us.  We can't wait to see all of your ideas!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a piece of Mint Macaroon on the top of the card base.  The center panel was created using distress inks on watercolor paper using the smooshing method.  It has green, lavender and yellow in the watercoloring, but it is hard to see.  I added a strip of yellow and white gingham paper for my rectangle piece.  I cut a piece of Mint Macaroon with a Reverse Confetti die banner for the sentiment.  The cross was stamped in brown using the Stampin' Up stamp set Hold On To Hope.  I also used the matching  Cross of Hope framelits to cut the brown center cross to layer the crosses.  The flowers were stamped using the same set.  I colored the lavender flowers and green vines with Stampin' Up Markers.  They were cut with the same framelits.   The butterfly is from the same set.

I'd Jump Through a Puddle For You PP433

March 17, 2019

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you that are Irish or Irish at heart!

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at  The Paper Players.  The amazing Jaydee is our hostess this week.  She has a Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us.  "One Layer Wonder" is the theme for this week.  We can't wait to see what you create!

REMEMBER THIS IS CLEAN AND SIMPLE WEEK - THESE ARE THE RULES WE POST EVERY CAS CHALLENGE

What do we mean by Clean and Simple?

                                             Minimal layers and embellishments
  • Plenty of open space, aka "white" space
  • Simple and uncluttered

My card is created on a white card base.  I stamped the boy image from MFT Puddle Jumpers and the girl is from MFT Rain or Shine stamp sets.  The puddles and rain drops are from the same set.  I colored the images with Copic Markers and paper pieced her raincoat with plaid paper.  Glossy Accents were added on the boots to make them shine.  Wink of Stella was also added on the images.  The sentiment is from the Puddle Jumper stamp set.  This card was so easy to create.  I just had  to spend some time on the coloring.  I loved the way it turned out.  CAS is always hard for me, but this one made me smile!

And I Think To Myself FMS379

March 16, 2019

I am playing along with Judy's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches today!  I had a lot of ideas for this fabulous sketch, but finally decided on something that has been on my mind for a few days.

This is one of my favorite songs!!  I play it every time I walk so that I appreciate all the beautiful things in nature!  Spring time in Atlanta is gorgeous, and I love to surround myself with the beauty around me!

My card is created on a white card base. For the  top layer I used  a rainbow stencil and created the rainbow using sponges and different distress inks. The white rectangle strip is embossed with clouds.  The sentiment is from Serendipity Stamps And I Think To Myself and  I stamped it in black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder for shine.  The sun is cut using a die that I found in my stash.

I added a strip of yellow and white polka dots inside and used the sentiment from  Casual Fridays Stamps-Sands of Time 2.  We certainly need to treasure time because it passes much to quickly!  I heat embossed it, too.  I added polka dots on the envelope and now it is ready to be addressed and mailed.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!

You Bring the Sunshine PP432

March 10, 2019

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

I am the hostess this week and I have a fun color challenge for you.  In March, we think of leprechauns with pots of gold, warmer weather, Spring rain storms, kites, unicorns and all kind of ways to spread love with rainbows!  Have fun!  We can’t wait to see what you create.

My card is created on a square white card base (5X5).  I cut another white panel and stenciled the rainbow using a stencil and a variety of distress inks.  I cut the sun shine out twice using Daffodil Delight card stock with the Lawn Fawn Spring Showers die.  I added a sun face in the center.  The sentiment is stamped in black.  I added a variety of rainbow enamel dots to complete my card.  This card was very easy to create and will brighten someone's day!

I cut two more suns using the die and stamped a birthday sentiment in the center to complete my card.
