You Are A Gift Paper Players Challenge PP510

 Sept. 27, 2020

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at  The Paper Players!

The amazing Joanne is our hostess and she has a beautiful sketch for all of us.  WOW!  This one is so versatile and the possibilities are endless.  I love all the layers!

I choose a brick paper to add for the background on my card.  I found a piece of floral fall paper to use for the large rectangle.  I added purple gingham for the vertical banner and a small piece of wood grained paper for the square.  I love all these patterns together.  I used a strip of music paper and a wood strip for the sentiment.  The sunflower is stamped using the Stampin Up Painted Harvest stamp set.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss inks for the sunflower.  The sentiment is stamped in black.  I added some Wink of Stella on the Sunflower for shine.

So hop along and be sure to visit each blog.

There is a lot of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing!

Kelly Lunceford (Creator)

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a black layer heat embossed with white powder after stamping the new MFT City Block Background with Versa Mark ink.  I love the way this turned out.  The snowdrifts are created using a die.  The red cardinal is created using the MFT Holly Jolly Cardinal Die.  I will admit it was time consuming to add all the small details, but it is so worth the end result.  The sentiment is stamped in black.

The Paper Players Challenge PP509

 Sept. 20, 2020

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge  The Paper Players!

The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us.  The theme is pets.  We can't wait to see what you create!

REMEMBER THIS IS CLEAN AND SIMPLE WEEK

What do we mean by Clean and Simple?

Minimal layers and embellishments
Plenty of open space, aka "white" space

I used a scalloped die to create my white layer.  I added a strip of plaid paper using the same die and cutting it  1.5" wide.   The kitten, mouse and pillow were stamped using the Clearly Besotted stamp set, You're Purrfect.  I colored the images with Copic Markers and cut them out with the matching dies.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Happy Birthday Paper Players Challenge PP508

Sept. 13, 2020

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The fabulous Anne Marie is our hostess this week and she has an amazing color challenge for all of us!  I must admit, this caused me some stress, but I finally decided what I wanted to do and I love this bold palette.  We can't wait to see what you create.

This card was created for my Mommy!  She turned 92 last week.  The background layer is Pretty Peacock.  The next panel is embossed with the striped embossing folder.  I love these leaves and I used the Vintage Stamps from SU again this week.  I used the Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss inks to create a watercolored panel.  I then used Versa Mark ink to stamp the leaves.  I heat embossed them in gold embossing powder.  I used the matching dies to cut them out.  I added a twine bow and heat embossed the sentiment.

I Just Hugged You in My Thoughts! Tic Tac Toe Challenge #tttc081

Sept. 10, 2020

It's time for a new challenge at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

We hope you will play along with our new board!

My card is created using the third column:  Orange/Leaves/Plaid

My card is created using Fall plaid papers from Lawn Fawn.  I created the background with 3 different pieces.  The MFT Pure Innocence Jumping With Joy girl was stamped and colored with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced her cap, sweater and scarf with the plaid paper.  The leaves are from the same set and colored with Copic Markers.  I stamped the sentiment in brown ink on an orange scalloped rectangle.

Please stop by and see all the fabulous cards by the Design Team.  There is so much inspiration!

We hope you will play along with us this week!

Let Us Celebrate Paper Players Challenge PP 507

Sept.6, 2020

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The amazing Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous theme challenge for all of us.  Masculine birthday cards are something I never seem to have on hand, so I was thankful to see this challenge.  It forced me to make a birthday card for a guy.  I know a few guys with October birthdays, so this will work perfectly.

My card is created on a white card base. I added a wood grained panel.  I found plaid paper in my stash to create the banner.  I added a leaf stamped in brown ink from an old Stampin' Up set that was retired years ago.  The birthday sentiment is stamped in black ink and backed with black paper to make it pop.
