Let It Snow The Paper Players Challenge PP674

 January 28, 2023

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The lovely Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a very fun Sketch Challenge for all of us!  This sketch is very versatile and you can chose any shape you want. We can't wait to see what you select for your elements.  Have fun and get creative!

I covered the background with turquoise paper.  I found the snowman paper in my stash and used a scalloped die to cut the layers.  I found snowflake dies in my stash, not sure where they are from.  The bottom layer is in silver and the top in white glimmer paper.  I cut a small tag for the sentiment and added white twine.  Silver dots were added on the sentiment on snowflakes.

 January 21, 2024

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps

I am the hostess of The Paper Players this week!  It is Clean and Simple week and the theme is "Winter Fun"!

So many ideas:  snow, sledding, snow skating/skiing, sleigh rides, snow people, snow ball fights and more!  We can't wait to see what you create.

The color challenge at Sunday Stamps was perfect for my idea.  So play along and have some fun!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a white embossed panel for the background.  I cut a snow drift and sponged it with gray ink.  The snow bird is from Honey Bee So Much Fun stamp set.  I colored the bird with Copic Markers and added gray ink for the shadow to make the angel.  I added an orange beak too so that I used four colors for Sunday Stamps  I did not add any more embellishements since it is Clean and Simple Week at The Paper Players.

I'm Thinking of You!!!!! The Paper Players Challenge PP672

January 14, 20224

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.
The lovely Anne Marie is our hostess this week and she has a very fun Color Challenge for all of us!  Black and White with a BOLD POP of Colors is the combo.  We can't wait to see what you select for your fun color!  Have fun and get creative!

I have a box of just random sheets of patterned paper.   I have no idea what packs they are from but, I was looking through them and this black and white patterned piece popped out at me.  I knew I wanted to use it for my background.  I used a fun die to cut the white panel.  I stamped the stem of my flower in Old Olive ink.  The flower is stamped in Real Red and Cherry Cobbler ink.  The stamp set is from Stampin Up called Art Gallery.  I love this set and use it a lot.  The sentiment and die cut is from the same set.  I added three black enamel dots to finish my card.

Happy You Day! The Paper Players Challenge PP671 Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC326

 January 7, 2024

t's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps

The Amazing Ann is the hostess at The Paper Players this week.  The Theme Challenge is to create a Birthday Card, "Cheers to the Years"!  There is always someone to celebrate, so this will be such a great theme to start the New Year!

This fantastic Sketch Challenge at Sunday Stamps by Heather is perfect for any type of card. Have fun and get creative!

I found some coordinating papers in a my stash and with the New Year, I thought the gold flakes were festive.  The little PI girl is from My Favorite Things.  It is called "Happy You Day"!  I colored her with Copic Markers and added Wink of Stella for shine.  I cut her out with the matching die.  The candles were trimmed with a scalloped die.  I added gold enamel dots to complete my design!  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
