You Are Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice--#tttc026

November 30, 2017

I can't believe November is over.  WOW!  This year has flown by.  Now, we are on to the mad rush of the holidays.

It's time for a new challenge at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

We have a fantastic board for all of you!

We would love for you to take some inspiration from the challenge board above, using three elements in a row of your choice. Whatever row inspires you is what we challenge you to create! Don’t forget to link back to us, and to use our hashtags #tictactoechallenge and
#tttc026

My card is created using the top row: pumpkin, beverage, chevron.  It is still Fall and I sure do enjoy those pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks!

My card is created on a white card base.  The background paper is from The Stamps of Life Happiness Collection paper pack.  The coffee cup is from Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe stamp set.  I fussy cut the cup.  I stamped it on chevron paper from the same paper pack.  I colored the top of the cup with Copic Markers.  The little fox is from SugarPea Designs Fall Fox stamp set.  I colored him with Copic Markers and used the matching dies to cut it out.  The sentiment was stamped from the same stamp set in brown ink.  I also sponged the edges of the sentiment and added it to the cup.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, please pop over and see more inspiration from the rest of the Tic Tac Toe design team and I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week!

The sensational Sandy is our hostess and she has a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us!  Remember to limit the layers and embellishments on your CAS card.  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  The top white layer was cut using the Wonky Stitches die from Avery Elle.  The mittens are stamped in black and then I stamped the mittens on red and white polka dots and paper pieced them on the stamped ones.  I used The Stamps of Life Mittens2  stamp set and dies.  I cut the felt using the dies, too.  The string was cut in red using the same set.  The sentiment was stamped in black.  I very quick card, but oh so fun!

You Are Sweet--PP #343

May 5, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The lovely LeAnne, is our hostess this week!  "Sweet Treats" is the theme for the week.  We can't wait to see all of the different ideas you come up with.  Have fun and get creative!

My first thought was ice cream, but looking through my stamps, I came across this fabulous stamp set from The Stamps of Life.  I have never used it and I knew it would be perfect for this theme.  With summer just around the corner, nothing is better than watermelon on a hot day.

My card is created on a white card base.  I found a piece of DSP with ants all over it.  I knew it was perfect for my background.  I used the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle dies to cut it out.  The sentiment dies and watermelon stamps are from the Watermelon2Stamp set.  I used the matching dies to cut out the pieces and the sentiment.  A few enamel dots were added for fun.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

That Succs!-- PP337 and SCC149

March 26, 2017

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!

I am babysitting this weekend for  two of my GRANDS, so I was excited that I could combine the challenges.

I am the hostess at The Paper Players this week.  You all know that I love layers!  The beautiful color palette from Sunday Stamps was perfect for the card I wanted to share.  Please make sure you use a minimum of three of the colors in your card.  PLEASE remember NOT to link your card to more than four challenges.  The guidelines are listed below for both challenges.  Just a friendly reminder!

My card is created on a white card base.  I used the MFT Blueprints 20 for cutting the beautiful purple plaid paper from Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper pack.  The Stamps of Life Succulents2  stamp set and dies were used on the cactus and pot. I have had this stamp set laying on my table for months.  I love succulents and they have become very popular in decorating.  I do not have a green thumb and people laugh when I say, "I can't keep a cactus alive"!, but it is true.  I cut a Mossy Meadows circle from the Zig Zag Stitched circle die from SugarPea Designs.  The Wild Wasabi rectangle was embossed with an embossing folder that I thought looked southwestern.  The cactus is stamped and colored with Copic Markers.  A few purple enamel dots were added for fun.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from both  design teams and I hope that you will play along with our challenges this week.

My card was created for my 15 year old niece.  She is such a bright light in our family!  She loves pink and I knew this would be perfect for her.  I used the Stamps of Life Light Bulb 2 Stamp Set and dies to create my shaker card.  A plaid background was mounted on a white card base.  The sentiment was stamped in Momento black ink.  Lots of sequins were added for bling and shine.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!

Did You Hear--PP305

July 24, 2016

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Our lovely LeAnne is the hostess this week!  She has a fabulous sketch for all of us to play along with.  This is a sketch that can be used  in so many ways.  We can't wait to see what you create.

My card is created for my sister.  Her birthday is this week and YES, she is older than me!  At our house, the phone has always been part of a family joke.  Back when there were no cell phones, recorders or other ways to know who was calling, I would always burst through the door to ask, "Did anybody call?"  When I was home, I was always on the phone.  So, when I went to the Scrap booking Expo last week in Duluth GA, I found a stamp company (new to me) called The Stamps of Life.  They had so many fun, whimsical stamps.  I had to buy several, but my favorite was this set called Phone4You with matching dies.

My card was created on a white card base.  I used the MFT  Tranquil Textures Paper Pack for all the purple papers on my card.  The background was cut using the Sugar Pea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle dies.  The white zig zag circle was cut using the MFT Pinking Edge Circle Stax.  A dauber was used to ink the edges of the circle.  I found some small purple enamel dots in my stash for the dial.  I love the way this card turned out.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!

We Need To Talk

July 22, 2016

It is so hot in Georgia!  I love to be outside, but I just can't stay outside long in the heat and humidity.  I found a few extra minutes to sneak in my "teepee" (I just found this at Hobby Lobby)

to create a card for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge.  I haven't had time to enter any challenge since moving, and hope to start playing along more often.  I love black and white cards, so this was perfect!

I attended the Scrap Booking Expo in Duluth, GA last week.  I had so much fun looking at new products and I spent way to much money!  I found a stamp company that was new to me and feel in LOVE with their stamps.  The Stamps of Life are fun, bold and whimsical!  I am sharing my first card made with one of my new sets.

I used a variety of black and white papers to create my card.  I thought the number paper was perfect for my phone!  I adore old retro phones and always wanted a pink one when I was a child.  Countless hours of my youth were spent on the phone.  I used the Phone4You stamp set and the matching dies. You can't see it in my photo, but I used silver foil to create the circle for the dial.  Pearls were added for fun.  I just love the way it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Wishing you a fantastic weekend!

HUGS!
