Have A Rice Day! The Paper Players PP786

May 17, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Ann is our hostess this week and she has a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us.  The theme is "food".  There are endless possibilities with this week's challenge.  So have fun and remember to keep it CAS.

Remember, when we say Clean and Simple, we mean cards that:

Have minimal layers and embellishments
Have plenty of open space, also known as "white" space
Are simple and uncluttered

I embossed a black panel with a bamboo embossing folder for my background.  The little penguin with his sushi was stamped using an old stamp set by SugarPea Designs.  They are no longer in business but, I still have all my stamps and love them.  This one always makes me smile.  The name of the stamp set is "Rice, Rice, Baby".  I colored the image with Copic Markers.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I didn't add any embellishments to keep it CAS.

Beautiful Day Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC386

 May 17, 2026

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

This week we have a very fun sketch by Laurie.  You can create any type of card with this versatile sketch.  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created using papers from the Carta Bella Honey Bee paper pack.  I backed the rectangles with black card stock.  The rest of the designs was created from the paper pack.  This card was so easy to create.  I love it when the paper does all the work.  The sentiment is cut using one of the papers.  No embellishments were added.

Life's A Beach! The Paper Players Challenge PP785

 May 10, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

I am the hostess this week and I have a very bright and happy color challenge for all of you!  I love all these colors, so I thought it would be fun to create cards using this palette.

I used Gorgeous Grape for my background.  I used the Simon Says Stamps background stamp -Beach Party Umbrellas -on watercolor paper and heat embossed the image with Versa Mark and white embossing powder.  I used a paintbrush and watercolored the umbrellas using the three colors.  The sentiment and flip flops were stamped using the Simon Says Stamps called Beachy Keen.  The matching dies were used, too.  I love how this turned out.  Makes me long for a beach trip.
