It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps.

The lovely Laurie has a fabulous sketch for all of us. I love this one and will use it over and over. It is so versatile and you can create any type of card with this sketch. We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a black card base. I used swooshing with purple distress ink to create my panel. I added water splats and black ink splatters to the panel. I used the Penny Black Antique Frames to cut out the panel. Then I added a black oval cut with a die. The cat is a die from Tim Holtz called Retro Halloween. The background die is cut with orange glitter paper and the face is cut in black cardstock. I just love this die. Anything retro makes me smile. The sentiment is from Gina K. The set is called Cordial Cats.

I'm Thankful The Paper Players Challenge PP808

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The sensational Stef is our hostess this week and she has a timely Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us. "Happy Autumn" is the theme. We all need a quick Fall card to send. So have fun and get creative, just remember to keep it CAS.

My card was very simple to create. I used Stampin Up Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the background and embossed it with the beautiful Stampin Up embossing folder. I received this amazing Softly Woven embossing folder from a very dear friend. I love it and I love her!! THANK YOU! --She knows who she is-- SMILE! Happy Mail is the best. I added a panel of SU Early Espresso cardstock cut with the Antique Frames from Penny Black. The beautiful fall DSP is from Whimsy Stamps. It is called Pink Autumn I cut it with the same frame set and also the sentiment frame. That's it--not adding embellishments is so difficult for me! Hope this is CAS enough.

Merry Christmas The Paper Players Challenge PP807

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The lovely Jan is our hostess this week. What a fun color challenge she has for all of us. I decided to step out of the box and use these colors to create a Christmas card. I can't wait to see what you decide to create with this pretty palette. Have fun and get creative!

The background layer is Crumb Cake. It is such a great neutral color and works with everything. The top layer is Azure Afternoon and I used an embossing folder to create all the folds. The stamp set and dies are called Pine & Berry Centerpiece by Honey Bee Stamps. I bought this set a few years ago and never used it. I need to ink this up again and make more cards. The lantern was stamped on Crumb Cake and the candles were stamped on white, but I shaded them with Copic Makers. The greenery is colored in Granny Apple Green. A rhinestone was added on top of the bow to complete the card.
