Happy Birthday To A Friend Who Lights Up My Life The Paper Players Challenge PP802

 September 6, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our amazing Joanne!  She is the hostess this week, so she picked candles for the theme.  What's a birthday cake without candles?  You can make any type of card with candles though.  It can be any occasion that candles might be used.  So, have fun and get creative.

My card is created using a stamp and die set from My Favorite Things called Make A Wish.   They are no longer in business, but I will keep this set in my stash because there is always a need for birthday candles.  I added a black and white striped pattern to the bottom of my card base and cut a piece of white with a scalloped border die for the background.  I stamped the candles with red ink and cut them out with the matching dies. Yellow cardstock was used to cut the flames and turquoise hearts were added to the flame.  The sentiment is from the same set.  A few black enamel dots were added for fun.

EEK!!!!! Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC394

September 6, 2026

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps
Deb is our hostess and she has a fun sketch challenge for all of us!  You can create any type of card with this fabulous sketch.  So have fun and get creative!

I am huge fan of Halloween cards and purchased the Spellbinders kit this month.  It had so many fabulous items in the kit.  The background is lemon-lime cardstock.  Then, I embossed the white panel with a bat embossing folder from my stash.  I ran a black pad over the bats for color.  The cat and pumpkin are cut using the Large Dies of the month for August from Spellbinders.  I thought these shapes would work for the sketch.  I used a white gel pen to add some accents. The sentiment is cut using dies in this set.

Sending Love The Paper Players Challenge PP801

August 30, 2026

A HUGE THANK YOU to ALL of you that played along with our 800th Challenge.  There were so many beautiful cards in the gallery.  We sure appreciate all your support and kind words!

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a creative Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge for all of us.  I always love seeing the variety of projects using a TTT board.  Have fun and get creative!

I used the bottom row to create my card-- Bright Colors, Texture and Circles.

I started my card with a black panel embossed with large polka dots.  This has always been a favorite embossing folder.  I have had it in my stash for years and don't remember where I got it.  The Spellbinders Colorful Burst Flower Etched Dies was used to create this gorgeous bloom.   I used  Stampin Up Lemon Lime Twist card stock for the stem and leaves.  I used a sponge dauber to add  darker green distress ink to create dimension. SU Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape card stock was used to create the flower bloom.  The circles in the flower center made me smile to go along with the big polka dots for my circle requirement in the TTT challenge.  A simple sentiment was stamped to complete my card.
