Red, White and Blue Through and Through The Paper Players Challenge PP792

June 28, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Joanne is our hostess and she has a fun and versatile sketch for all of us.  So many options for this one.  This is a sketch you can use over and over!

My card is created using Cherry Cobbler SU paper for the background.  I added a piece of Americana paper that I found in my stash.  I embossed a white panel with a star embossing folder for the next layer.  I cut a strip of the background paper for the rectangle strip.  The flag is a sticker I found in my ephemera stash.  I didn't realize how different the reds looked until I took the picture, but it's too late to change the paper now.  LOL  The sentiment is from Papertrey Inks.  It is called Land That I Love.  I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink.  I added a few blue enamel dots to complete my card.

O Beautiful For Spacious Skies Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC389

June 28, 2026

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

Our sketch is by the wonderful Heidi.  It is an easy one to use and you can make any type of card.  So get creative and show us your projects.

My card is created using some Americana paper that I found in my stash.  I added the background and then the fireworks paper for the next layer.  I used the same background  paper for the strip down the center.  The fireworks set is a retired set from My Favorite Things.  I kept it in my stash.  I cut circle frames to mount over the firework. The sentiment is from Papertrey Inks.  The set is called Land That I LoveLots of rhinestones were added in the fireworks for fun.  Are you ready for the 4th of July?

Thinking of You The Paper Players Challenge PP791

 June 21, 2026

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the daddy's out there.  I sure do miss my Daddy.

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The fabulous Jan is our hostess this week and she has a fun Clean and Simple challenge for all of us.  She added the theme of "weather."  There certainly has been some crazy weather lately in the U.S.  There are so many types of weather and I hope you get creative and have fun creating your card.  Don't forget to keep it CAS!

I created a square card this week.   My card base is cut 5 x 5.  I cut another square of water color paper and swooshed Iced Spruce distress ink and water to create the background.  I used a Simon Says Stamp Set called Follow the Rainbows.  I stamped the girl in black in and added a sentiment from the same stamp set.  I did not add any embellishments.  That is hard for me, but I needed to keep it clean and simple.
