August 17, 2018

Welcome to the Craftin Desert Divas Blog!

I'm so excited about the August release! Crisp leaves, fall friends and more make this release fabulous!   Once you are done hopping, head over to the Craftin Desert Divas  shop to snag your special discount 5% off through 8/19.

My card is created on a white card base.  (5 X 5) square-  I created this fabulous background using the Bright Horizons Stencil and distress inks.
The fabulous little Tribal Deer Digital Stamp is printed and then colored with Copic Markers.  I just love him!  The lake sign is from the Outdoor Camping Digital Stamp Set and the leaves are from Outdoor Tribal Digital Stamp Set.  I mounted the complete card front on a piece of blue card stock.  Wink of Stella and a few enamel dots were added to complete my card.  I think this little guy looks like he is off for a new adventure!

My card is created on a white card base.  (5X5) square.  I really like square cards and enjoy making them.   I created the background using the Polygon Stencil.  I used distress inks in Blueprint Sketch, Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade.  That covered my three colors from the color challenge.  I cut a white card stock square and used the MFT Birthday Block Die to cut out the letters.  I then cut them again on black card stock and pieced them in the negative spaces.  The balloons were also make using the same distress inks and a heart die.

Don't forget to check out all the amazing projects from the Design Team.

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Our lovely LeAnne is the hostess this week and she has a gorgeous color challenge for us!  I must admit, I struggled with this at first, but when it all came together, I absolutely loved the beautiful shades together.  Have fun and we can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added two strips of black and white MFT Striped paper on the sides of my main panel.  The watercolored panel was created using the smooching method.  I used the three colors in the combo and loved the way it turned out.  The Dandelion Stamp is from Technique Tuesday.  I stamped it three times in black Versa Mark ink and heat embossed the dandelions with clear embossing powder.  I love the shine it gave these flowers.  The sentiment is from the same set and embossed too.
