Happy Valentine's Day The Paper Players Challenge PP771

 February 1, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

I am the hostess this week and I have a timely "Theme Challenge" for all of you!  With Valentine's Day right around the corner, you can make a Valentine for someone special or you could also make any type of card that focuses on "Love".  Anniversary, Birthday, and Friendship are a few possibilities.  Have fun and get creative!

I found this fun Valentine paper pack and decided to use it to create my non-traditional card.  I cut a scalloped background using the bow paper.  I used the Simon Says Stamp Petal Heart Wafer Die to cut the petals for the flower and leaves.  The Love Sentiment was cut using  Cherry Lynn Dies the Bohemian Words Dies.   I don't think this company is in business now.  I added a black sentiment heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Black enamel dots and a pink hearts were added to complete my card.

XOXOXO The Paper Players Challenge PP770 Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC378

January 25, 2026
It's Sunday and time for new challenges at     The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps.

The lovely Jaydee is our hostess this week at The Paper Players.  She created a fun sketch for all of us.  You can use it for any type of card!  Sunday Stamps has a pretty color challenge for us.

Use a minimum of 3 colors

My card is created for my grand daughter.  She loves bows, hearts and pearls.  I was looking through all my dies and found this heart die.  I don't think I have ever used it.  I started with a 3x6 card base.  I layered a piece of pink and red paper for the background.  I added the fun heart/bows and placed a pearl on top.  A simooe sentiment was added.

Ms. Snow The Paper Players Challenge PP769

 January 18, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Joanne is our hostess this week and she has a timely Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us.  "Signs of Winter" is the theme.  Things like snow, snowmen or women, snowflakes, hats, scarves, mittens, warming hot cocoa, sledding, snowball fights, ice skating, icicles, are just some ideas - but specifically NOT Christmas!  Just remember to keep it CAS - limited layers and embellishments, plenty of "white space."

I embossed the background panel with a snow embossing folder.  Then I stenciled the top section of the snowperson using the  Waffle Flower Oversized Snowman Stencils.   I used sponges and distress inks for the earmuffs and scarf along with the facial features.  I used a heart stencil on the scarf and earmuffs to turn this little snow person into a girl.  I didn't add a sentiment.  I thought her face showed enough expression that she could be for any occasion.  No embellishments were added to keep it CAS.
