  • The Challenge is open for 2 weeks and the Linky will close on Friday, August 7th @ 6pm EST

  • My card was created on a white card base.  I cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry DSP  with the Mama Elephant dies for the background.  A piece of white card stock was cut with the Mama Elephant dies.  I used My Creative Time stitched doily dies and cut four circles in the design of the sketch.  I added the white panel with foam tape for dimension.  I then placed the white doilies down inside the circles.  I added four buttons with white twine for bows.

The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Loving Thoughts.  It was stamped on Garden Green paper with black Versa Fine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I flagged the ends for a banner and attached it to the bottom of the card.

It's Sunday and time for another great challenge at The Paper Players!  This week the sensational, Sandy is our hostess.  She has a fun sketch for us to play along with.  Can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created using the Papertrey Inks-Nostalgic Notions.  My base card is white and the side border is Island Indigo.  I embossed the edge with a Stampin' Up! border embossing folder.  The flower paper is from the PI kit.  The tag is created using the flower stamps in the kit and the Lawn Fawn -"Tag You're It" die.  I stamped them with 2 colors of red ink (Real Red and Rose Red) and blue (Island Indigo and Pool Party).  A added a red bow to complete the card.

    You've Got The Write Stuff--PPA261

    July 24, 2015

I guess "Old Teachers" never die.  I am on a roll with Teacher cards.  I had an idea pop into my head when I saw this sketch at the Pals Paper Arts Challenge!  I hurried into my craft room and got to work.

My base card is black card stock.  The rest of the layers are created with the Simple Stories-Smarty Pants 6 X 6 paper pack. I cut black circle frames  I cut orange circles from the patterned papers to line the circle frames.  The pencils were created by stamping them with Momento black ink and coloring them with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut them and mounted them with foam tape for dimension.

I stamped the sentiment with black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  The stamp set is from SugarPea Designs, "Teacher's Pet."  Both the sentiment and pencils are from this set.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!

    Until next time!

    Happy Birthday, You Party Animal--FM217

    July 21, 2015

Today is my Grandson's first birthday!  HAPPY, HAPPY Birthday Robert Joseph!!

My card for today is for the Friday Mashup challenge.  This week the challenge is:

    This week's Mashup Challenge:
    • Create a project with the "Sketch."
    • Create a project with a "Pet theme."
    • or Mash it Up and create a project with "Pets using the Sketch."
Ok, I only have a million stamps sets and can you believe, I don't have any stamps with pets?!?!?  I finally found this funny cat in my Halloween stash.  It worked out perfectly because my sister's birthday is this week and she is a huge cat lover.

The base card is white and the rest of the paper come from the "Fancy Pants, True Friends"  6 x 6 paper pack.  I cut the stitched border on the turquoise strip with the border from Pretty Pink Posh.   The balloons are paper pieced with matching paper.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle-Party Animal .  It is stamped in black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  The cat is colored with Copic Markers.  Two candy dots were added for fun.  A black gel pen was used to highlight the eyes, nose and mouth on the cat.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Please leave a comment.  I love to hear from you!

    Until next time!
