So Happy Your"re My Friend Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC332

 March 31, 2024

Happy Easter to ALL!

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

We have a fabulous  sketch challenge for all of you!  SO have fun and get creative.

I will admit this sketch caused me to really think outside the box.  I found this gorgeous floral pattern in a paper pad and decided I wanted to use it as my background.  I then cut the coordinating green paper and embossed it with dots.  The floral pattern was then cut with a die and I cut another pattern with the same die and then paper pieced half of it on top of the flowers.  I added a fun sentiment and some sequins to complete my card.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Ann is our hostess and she has a fun Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge for all of us!  So many ways to play along.  So, let's get creative and have fun!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a piece of plaid DSP to the background.  I love all the Spring colors in this pattern.  I cut a white scalloped panel with a die and stamped the Old Olive and Certainly Celery stems for my flowers.  I stamped the tops of the daffodils using Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie inks.  The stamp set is from Sunny Studio Stamps.  It is called Daffodil Dream Stamps.  It is on sale right now!  I used the coordinating dies to cut out the tops of the daffodils and adheared them with foam tape for dimension.  I added a twine bow and some pearls .  The sentiment is stamped in black and from the same stamp set.  I added Wink of Stella to the flowers for shine.

Good Luck The Paper Players Challenge PP681

 March 17, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Joanne is our hostess this week!  She has a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of you!  The theme is Good Luck!  Get creative and show us your ideas.

Remember, this is a CLEAN and SIMPLE challenge.  When The Paper Players use the term “clean and simple”, we mean cards that:

Have minimal layers and embellishments
Have plenty of open space
Are simple and uncluttered

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a green and white background and then I added a white panel embossed with a fun embossing folder from my stash.  The flowers, envelope and bow are all from Pink Fresh Studio.  The stamp set is called Floral Envelope Stamp.  I sponged the envelope with distress ink and colored the flowers with Copic Markers.  I cut the bow out of green and white polka dots.  I used the matching dies to cut out all three items.  I had to search all of my stamp sets to find the words Good Luck.  I can't believe I only had one and I know I own hundreds of sets.  I did not add any embellishments since it is CAS week.  That is always difficult for me.

  1. Please provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge entry.
  2. Please link your card to no more than four challenges, TOTAL, including ours
  3. Please be considerate of our requests; entries that do not follow any of these rules will be deleted without notification.
  4. Have fun, and thank you for playing with us!

You Make Me Smile From Ear to Ear Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC331

 March 17, 2024

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  We are all a little bit Irish today!

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

We have a beautiful color challenge for all of you!  Have fun and get creative.  This is a gorgeous combo for Spring.

I used a sun ray cover die to create my background,  I cut it once with Crisp Khaki and once with yellow card stock.  I pieced the yellow pieces in the frame.  The little bunny, eggs and egg tree were created using the My Favorite Things Easter Bunny stamp and die set.  This set is retired now, but I love it so, I will keep it in my stash.  I colored the items with Copic Markers.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I added two enamel dots to complete my card.

Beautiful Inside & Out The Paper Players PP680

March 10, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a gorgeous Color Challenge for all of us!  I can not begin to express how much I love these bright colors together and black and white always make such a statement.  So have fun and get creative!

I had a lot of ideas for this challenge, but after looking through a lot of my stamps, I decided to use these wacky flowers.  This set is from My Favorite Things and it is called Doddled Blooms.  It is retired now.  I stamped the flowers  in black ink and colored them with Copic Markers.  I used the matching dies to cut them out.  I used a cover plate to cut the black frame for the flowers.  I cut the sentiment with a Beautiful Die from Simon Says Stamp.  I heat embossed the words in white embossing powder.  I added green enamel dots to complete my card.  I love the way this turned out.

HAPPY SPRING! The Paper Players Challenge PP 679

March 3, 2024

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

I am the hostess this week and I have a fun and timely THEME for all of you!  Rainy Days---Spring is coming and we know lots of rainy days are ahead.  So get creative and let's see all your great ideas!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a black panel to the front.  I found this little scrap of black and white polka dots/ yellow flowers in my scrap box and that sparked my idea for this card.  I added a black/white striped sunshine die cut behind the boots.  I got the boot die once years ago as a gift.  I can not find the maker.  I cut the boots out in yellow and then paper pieced the red tulips and green stems over the yellow die cut.  I added some Copic Markers to the boots for dimension.  The sentiment is stamped in black ink.
