Happy Blooming Birthday Inspired By Challenge # 74

May 30, 2019

It's time for a new challenge at Inspired By.

What inspires you about this photo?  Is it the lace, the daisy, the colors, the buckets, the clothes line?
We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created with a lace die by Neat and Tangled.  Doily Envelope Die is absolutely beautiful and reminds me of the lace in the photo.  The flowers and sentiment are from the Stampin' Up! set Flower Patch.   It is a retired set, but it was the only set that I had that had a daisy like flower.  I used two shades of yellow to stamp the flowers.  A pearl was added to the center of each flower.  The lace folds over the card base to create an envelope.  I tied it up with a yellow ribbon to complete my card.

Happy 4th of July Paper Players Challenge 443

May 26, 2019

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at  The Paper Players!

The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a great sketch challenge for all of us!  Of course, you can be as liberal as you wish.  You do not have to use flowers.  You can use whatever shape you want.  We can't wait to see what you create.

My card is created on a white card base.  I used a couple patriotic papers that I found in my stash.  The stars are cut using Star dies from Stampin Up!  The firecrackers are stamped in black using the
Stars and Stripes stamp set by Sunny Studio.  I colored them with Copic Markers and cut them out with the matching dies.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and colored with Copics.  I added a few rhinestones for shine.

I added a sentiment and firecracker inside, too.

These cards are so fun to make and they are gorgeous in real life.  My photos do not do them justice.  I think I need a new phone!

My cards are created on white card bases.  I added a silver foil layer on top of the white card base.  I created two different alcohol ink backgrounds using Yupo paper.  I cut them with a scalloped border.  The Merry Christmas Ornament Wafer Die  is from Simon Says Stamp.  I cut it on white card stock.  It is very delicate and it took me a few attempts to get it cut out without tearing the letters.  I added rhinestones and silver twine to complete the card.

Do you have a favorite?

Thanks for stopping by!  Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!

The hop is hosted by the fabulous Kelly Lunceford's blog, so head over there to start from the beginning.

ENJOY the blog hop!  I hope we inspired you to make a few cards, too!

Welcome--Home Sweet Home Inspired By Challenge #73

May 22, 2019

It's time for a new challenge at Inspired By.

What inspires you about this photo?  Is it the wood grain, the wreath, the cactus the foliage, the greeting?  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added wood grained paper on the top of the card to to along with the inspiration photo.   The circle is cut using the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Circle dies.   I cut the banner from the same wood grained paper using the WPlus 9 Be Merry die set.  The cactus and leaves were created using the SugarPea Designs Stuck on You stamp and die set.  Two shades of green ink were used to stamp them and thanks to my Misti that was easy to do.  It adds more shading that way.  The cactus flowers are stamped in two shades of pink.  I added a little pearl inside each pink bloom.  The large Welcome sentiment is stamped on a piece of the wood grained paper and popped up with foam tape.

The Sunday Stamps challenge is a color challenge.  Remember to use a minimum of 3 colors and a neutral!

I am also playing along with the CAS on Sunday Challenge.  Their theme this week is "Polka Dots" and you know I love them!

My card is created on a Kraft base instead of white.  I hope that passes for CAS.  I created a frame in black for my cactus using a stamp by Rubbernecker stamps.  The cactus are from Stamps of Life Succulents2 stamp set. I cut out the pots in red paper with the matching dies.  I paper pieced the pots with black and white stripes and polka dots using the same dies.  I colored the cactus with Copic Markers.  I stamped the sentiment in black. It is from the same stamp set.

Life Is Meant to Be Enjoyed! Inspired By 77

May 16, 2019

It's time for a new challenge at Inspired By!

Isn't this a gorgeous photo?
How are you inspired? checks? flowers? colors? squares? layers?

My card is created on a white card base.  I used water color paper and two colors of distress oxide ink on my background.  A few water droplets were added to create the splashes.  I also used another piece of water colored paper to add some brown distress oxide ink to use in the cut out section.  I used the Reverse Confetti Swoosh Cover  Panel to cut out the background.  I cut it again in the brown color and pieced that section in to look like the sand.  The little girl is from MFT Pure Innocence.  I believe she might be retired though.  I paper pieced her bathing suit with the yellow and white gingham checks like in the inspiration photo.  I found some flower and cactus paper in my stash and paper pieced her float.  Her "pillow" is pink!  The sentiment is stamped in brown.  It is from the same stamp set as the image.  hope she makes you smile!

The multi-talented JoAnne is our hostess this week and she has a very bright, fresh and bold color challenge for all of us!  I love vibrant colors, so I absolutely LOVED this combo!  I had so much fun that I made two cards this week!

My cards are made on Pool Party and Lovely Lipstick card bases.  I added a top layer of white card stock cut with a scalloped die.  I used my favorite MFT dies Stitched Flowers.  I used Daffodil Delight, Lovely Lipstick and Pool Party to cut lots of different flower shapes of each color.  The leaves are cut using Granny Apple Green.

The sentiment is cut using the Beautiful die set.  I cut the bottom layer in black and the top layer in Granny Apple Green.  The Happy Birthday is stamped in black ink using the MFT Hello Beautiful stamp set.
