Trick or Treat--FMS 301

August 18, 2017

Today I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I loved the sketch this week and it gave me the perfect opportunity to make my first Halloween card using my new MFT Happy Haunting  stamp set.  I LOVE to make Halloween cards.  This set is just too cute!

My card is created on a white card base.  I used a piece of black and white striped paper I found in my stash for the background.  I created the top panel using distress inks and splashed a few drops of water on it for fun.  I added the stars from the MFT stamp set and used Versa Mark and clear embossing powder for shine.  The sentiment is from the Your Next Stamp set Waddles Trick or Treat.  I stamped it in Versa Mark and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  The little trick or treaters were colored with Copic Markers and cut out using the matching dies.  I popped each image with dimensionals.  Lots of Wink of Stella was added for shine and I used a black gel pen on their eyes.  The moon and clouds are from the same set.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Happy Father's Day--FMS 291

June 11, 2017

I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I haven't had much time to enter any challenges lately, so I am excited to play along with Jen B. and the talented team at FMS!

I needed Father's Day cards for my sons, and this was the perfect sketch.  Both of my boys love baseball and are Daddy's now, so I am making this card twice.  It was so simple and came together quickly.  I picked red, white and blue because nothing is more American than baseball!

My card is created on a white card base.  It doesn't look very white in my pictures.  Sorry!  I added a red base behind the red, white and blue patterned paper.  I stamped "Happy Father's Day" in Memento black ink using the Your Next Stamp For The Boys stamp set.   The little baseball player was stamped is black ink.  He is from the Your Next Stamp Sports Fanatics 2 stamp set.  I stamped the ball again in Real Red ink and fussy cut the stitching to add to the ball man.  I colored him with Copic Markers and added wiggley eyes for fun.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great day!

The plane was colored with Copic Markers.  I cut the two clouds from the Mama Elephant Stitched Sky dies.  I sponged distress ink on each cloud. February 25, 2017

It's a gorgeous day in Atlanta, GA!  I found a few minutes to play along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I love the sketch this week.

My card is created on a white card base and the next layer is Melon Mambo card stock.  The background was created using Nuevo Peony Pink and  Nuevo Aquamarine mousse.  It was so fun working with these two products.  A polka dot stencil was used, too.  The little bunnies were stamped on Neenah Solar White paper and colored with Copic Markers.  The Hoppy Friends stamp is from Your Next Stamp and I used the matching die.  I added Wink of Stella to the bunnies.  A strip of grass was cut using the Lawn Fawn Meadows die using a scrap of green card stock.  The sentiment is from the same set.  This card is made with love for someone I Love!

I hope my card made you smile!  I love it!

Jan. 6, 2017

I am a HUGE fan of Your Next Stamp!  I am playing along with their sketch.

The Stamp Ink Paper Challenge is perfect for me this week!  I love all things that have to do with teaching and learning.

I love this fun, whimsical stamp set, Learning Is Fun!  I am a retired teacher and I still love making "Teacher" cards.  I send them to my "GRANDS" teachers.

My card is created on a white card base.  I used some patterned papers in my stash to create the background.  The image is colored with Copic Markers.  I used black twine and a black enamel dot on the star.  Glossy Accents were added to the little girl's shoe and the boy's glasses for shine.

Sparkle and Shine--CASology-Cute #217

September 27, 2016

Hi!  I hope all of you are having a great week!  It has been 95 plus in Atlanta every day since the first week of June!  Well, today it was 85 and I was loving it!  I even ate lunch outdoors!

Today, I am playing along with the CASology challenge.  Now, I know you are probably LOL because is it very difficult for me to make a Clean and Simple card.  The "cue" word is "CUTE" and I am always looking for a fun challenge to make cards for my adorable granddaughters.

I looked through my stamp sets and found a stamp from Your Next Stamp-Little Darling Fairy Godmother.  I thought it would be perfect for my cards.

Miss Addison loves pink and yellow.

Miss Victoria loves purple and turquoise.

I colored the images with Copic Markers.  I added Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents on the stars.  I used the Reverse Confetti Lacy Scallop Frame Dies to cut the white frame.  The sentiment is from the stamp set and is stamped in Momento Black ink.

I hope you enjoyed my fun Fairy Godmothers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Trick or Treat--FMS 255

September 25, 2016

I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.  I had several ideas for this fantastic sketch, but I need a few Halloween cards for my stash, so I went with my first thought.

I love Halloween!  Maybe it is because I spent so many years teaching Elementary School.  It is such a fun day for children.  Dressing up, pretending to be someone else and trick or treating!  What's not to like?

Theses adorable penguins are off for a night of fun.  Looks like their favorite  treat is goldfish.  My grands love those, too!  This set is from Your Next Stamp-Waddles-Trick or Treat.  I colored them with Copic Markers and cut them out with the matching dies.  I distressed the white panel with Hickory Smoke Distress ink after I cut it out using the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies.  Some bats and stars were heat embossed in the night sky.  A black enamel dot was added on the orange panel.  The sentiment is stamped in black Versa Fine ink.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.  The one little penguin is trying to catch up with his buddies!  Hope they get lots of treats.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

My card was created using the Your Next Stamp set  Sports Fanatics Two.  The baseball image was stamped on Neenah Solar White paper.  I stamped it twice once in red and once in black.  I cut the stripes off and added them to the black outline and shaded and colored it with Copic Markers.  The base card is white and I added Real Red behind each layer of patterned paper.  The paper pack is from Doodlebug: Home Run.  The patterned paper was cut with My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I added a strip of Real Red and stamped the sentiment in Versa Mark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  A white enamel dot was added for fun.  A little Wink of Stella was added on the bat and his cap.  The inside sentiment says, "Have a Ball".  I just didn't get a picture to share with you.
