Thinking of You Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC361

May 25, 2025

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

The lovely Laurie created the sketch for this week.  This is such a simple  sketch to use and you can make any type of card!

I used a black card base and then layered a piece of DSP from the Stampin Up set Botanical Textures.  I then added a black square and a white square following the sketch.  The leaves are stamped on gray paper with gray ink using the Stampin Up Forever Fern set and cut them out with the matching dies.  I added a simple sentiment and a little white bow.

Take Note The Paper Players PP739

 May 25, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fun sketch challenge for all of us.  I love this sketch because you can use your favorite DSP scraps to create a card.  Any type of card is possible, so get creative and happy crafting!

I love this sketch because I could look through all my paper pads and find a few patterns to mix and match.  The background is a plaid and then I used a two sided paper to create the panels and their background.  I needed a thank you note and saw this little girl from SugarPea Designs "Take Note" stamp set sitting in the box shouting use me!  I stamped her and colored her with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced her dress with the matching DSP.  The sentiment is from this set.  I added a few yellow enamel dots and some Wink of Stella to her hair for shine to compete the card.

Flying By To Say----- The Paper Players Challenge PP738

May 18, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Joanne is our hostess this week!  She has a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us!  Things That Fly is the theme.  There are so many possibilities with this challenge.  SO get creative and remember to keep it CAS!

I used a retired SugarPea Designs die to cut the background.  I sponged some distress ink in the middle to create the sky.  I used a cloud die and cut a few clouds to adhere to the bottom of my card.  I sponged the distress ink on the top of the clouds.  I added a few small clouds up above, too.  The little plane is from Your Next Stamp.  (They are no longer in business)  The name of the stamp set is Just Plane Amazing!  The sentiment is from this set, too.  I colored the plane with Copic Markers and added Wink of Stella for shine.  I also added Glossy Accents to the window.

May 11, 2025

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

We have a fun color challenge for all of us!  These bright, happy colors have so many possibilities.  So get creative and join us this week!

My card was made with Simon Says Stamp set You Shine.  I stamped the lemons and colored them with Copic Markers.  I embossed the background with the corrugated SU embossing folder.  I added a polka dot border and a scalloped border for a pop of color!.  The sentiment is from a stamp set in my stash.  I added a few yellow enamel dots to complete my card.

Happy Birthday The Paper Players Challenge PP737

May 11, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Ann is our hostess this week and she has a very beautiful color challenge for all of us!  I love this combo and we hope you have fun with it, too!

I had so much fun creating this card.  I started with a large embossed polka dot background.  Then I added a Lost Lagoon scalloped border on the side that I cut with a die.  The flowers are from Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms Etched Dies.  I used all the colors to create this bouquet.  I will admit this took some time to create.  Lots of die cutting and arranging the flowers and leaves.  You know I love stuff, so I just kept adding to it.  A simple  Happy Birthday completed my card.

I Can Do Everything The Paper Players Challenge PP736

May 4, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Joanne is our hostess this week and she has a very creative theme challenge for all of us. She wants us to use "Something Old" and "Something New"  on our projects this week!  It is always fun to look through our collection of stamps and decide what to use.  So have fun and we can't wait to see what you create.

Something Old, Something New - pair an old favorite with a new craft item

And yet again, I found out my dear friend has breast cancer.  I wanted to send her a card to help her through her journey.  This beautiful angel from Unity Stamps has been sitting in my stash for a long time, so I decided she would be perfect to make her a card of encouragement. Maria Girl was stamped her in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed her with white powder.  I fussy cut her and sponged a little black ink on the edges to make her pop off the Crumb Cake cardstock.  The new items are the Textured Notes Dies from SU that I used to cut the background and sentiment square. I added a few pearls to complete my card.
