April 7, 2019

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.  The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fun Theme Challenge for all of us.  I am a huge fan of plaids and checks so, I had a difficult deciding what to make for my card.  What a fantastic idea, LeAnne!

My card is created on a white card base.  I created the top layer using the Newton's Nook Plaid Stencil Set.  I used three shades of Distress Inks to create my background plaid.  I cut a scalloped pink rectangle for the frame behind my bunny.  The bunny is created using the MFT Cottontail Cutie Die-namics die.  The sentiment is stamped on purple paper using the SY Easter Bunnies from MFT.  I used the MFT Fishtail Flag Frames to cut it out.   Two enamel dots were added to complete my card.

You're Eggstra Special PP435

March 31, 2019

Today we celebrate our Addison's 10th birthday!  I don't know how she could possibly be 10!!!  A huge day for her because she is now "double digits"!  She had her party yesterday and it was a big hit.  She is so kind, thoughtful, smart, beautiful  and the girl that made me a Grammy!  She owns a piece of my heart!

!

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.  The lovely Laurie is our hostess this week and she has a fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge for us.  I always love these challenges because the possibilities are endless!

My card is created using the diagonal--Easter, Embossing and Patterned Paper!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a top white panel and embossed it with a polka dot embossing folder.
The basket was created using the Reverse Confetti Basket Confetti Die.  I added polka dot paper for the ruffle using the same die.  The grass is cut out of patterned paper using the Lawn Fawn Meadows Border Die.  I cut two in order to layer them.  The bunny, butterflies  and eggs are from MFT SY Easter Bunnies stamp set.  I stamped them in Moments black ink and colored them with Copic Markers.  I cut them out with the matching dies.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.  The sentiment is stamped in black ink.  I covered the envelope flap in the same polka dot paper.

February 10, 2019

I attended the Valentine dances with my GRAND daughters yesterday.  We had a blast.  Thought I would share this happy moment with all of you!

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The lovely Laurie is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous color challenge for all of us!  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a Smokey Slate card base.  The curtains were made using Basic Gray and the MFT die set Take The Stage.  I added black ink with a sponge dauber to add dimension to the curtains.  The little ballerina is stamped in Momento black ink.  I used the MFT Tu-Tu Sweet stamp set.  The matching die was used to cut her out.  I colored her with Copic Markers and added Wink of Stella for shine.  Clear, sparkling sequins were added to complete my card.

I ran a piece of the gray paper down the side of the card and stamped the image again.  The sentiment is from the same set.  The envelope panel is a scrap from my pile, but tied in the pink.

Sending Thanksgiving Wishes The Paper Players 416

October 28, 2018

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at  The Paper Players!
The Amazing Anne Marie  is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous Sketch Challenge for all of us!  Have fun and we can't wait to see what you create!  Oh, the possibilities are endless with this fabulous sketch!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  I love that it is all about family, friends and food!  I used a Early Expresso card base for my card.  I used a variety of Fall patterned DSP that I found in my stash.  I backed each layer with Early Expresso to make it pop off the barn red background.  I used the SugarPea Designs Indian Summer stamp set.  The little raccoons, tepee and sentiment are all from this set.  I colored them with Copic Markers and cut them out with the matching dies.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.

How Do You Like Them Apples? PP415

October 21, 2018

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Our amazing Joanne is the hostess this week and she has a fantastic Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us!  She wants us to use apples!  Fall is the perfect season for apples, so we can't wait to see what you create!  Just remember it is a CAS week!

I have hundreds of stamps, but can you believe this is the only apple stamp I could find!  I have always loved this stamp set be SugarPea Designs.  The A Bushel & A Peck set is still available and on sale right now!  You can change out the items in the basket for different occasions, too!  This little girl makes me smile.  I stamped her with Memento Black ink and colored her with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut her for my card.  The little sign stamp is in this set and the fun sentiment, too.  I thought this would be perfect  to thank one of my grands teachers!  I struggle with CAS, so I hope Joanne will think I am clean and simple with my patterned papers and white space.  I found these patterns in a pack of school papers in my stash. I did not add any embellishments.  That is such a challenge for me!  LOL!  I added a lemon lime circle cut with the Zig Zag  circle stitched die from SugarPea Designs.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.  I also added some details on the apples and her teeth with a white gel pen.

Wishing You PP405

August 12, 2018

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Our lovely LeAnne is the hostess this week and she has a gorgeous color challenge for us!  I must admit, I struggled with this at first, but when it all came together, I absolutely loved the beautiful shades together.  Have fun and we can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added two strips of black and white MFT Striped paper on the sides of my main panel.  The watercolored panel was created using the smooching method.  I used the three colors in the combo and loved the way it turned out.  The Dandelion Stamp is from Technique Tuesday.  I stamped it three times in black Versa Mark ink and heat embossed the dandelions with clear embossing powder.  I love the shine it gave these flowers.  The sentiment is from the same set and embossed too.

The amazingly talented Nance is our hostess this week.  She has a fantastic Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us!  She wants us to use a rainbow on a card or project!  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base. I cut the frame using the SugarPea Designs large striped cover plate.  I ran it through my Big Shot 8 times using red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet and pink. The lovely Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a beautiful theme challenge for all of us!  I love Spring and the possibilities are endless for your card.  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  A Berry Blast panel was cut with a stitched rectangle die.  The watercolored panel was created with Distress inks and cut with a die.  I heat embossed the sentiment with Versa Mark and white embossing powder.  The daffodils are from the Simon Says Stamp Friendship Blooms Reason To Smile stamp set.  I colored them with Copic Markers and fussy cut them.  I forgot to order the dies when I got this set!  Wink of Stella and sparkling clear sequins are added for fun!
