Of Course I LOVE You! --cQc #327

February 4, 2016

I wanted to make a very special Valentine for my hubby.  He puts up with all my crazy ideas and whims.  LOL!  So, when I saw the colors at the Colour Q Challenge I knew just what I wanted to do.

These are my favorite colors and they worked perfectly for "my" dress.

I didn't want to make the card girly, so the Kraft paper was the perfect background.  I found this retired DSP from Stampin' Up! in my stash and loved the way it gave movement to my card.  I die cut this DSP using a Simon Says Stamp-Postage Die.  I also cut a Real Red rectangle using the same dies.  Neenah White Solar paper was used with Momento Black ink for my image. The stamp from Art Impressions-Tina Set is colored with a variety of Copic and Stampin' Up! Markers.  I worked the Cherry Cobbler into her balloon, hearts and sponged the main image and sentiment on the edges.   The sentiment was stamped in Momento Black ink and I used a circle punch to cut it out.  It was applied with dimensionals.  The banner die is from SugarPea Designs-Stitched Flags.  I cut around the balloon before I cut the image out with the die.  Lots of Wink of Stella was added for shine!

I hope my card made you smile today!  Please leave a comment!  I always love to hear from you!

Have a fabulous day!

Happy Valentine's Day! --PP280

January 31, 2015

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

This week the multi talented Jaydee is our hostess.  She has a fabulous Tic-Tac-Toe board for us to play along with.  I must admit, this is probably my favorite type of challenge.  The projects are always creative and unique!  We can't wait to see what you design!

Now, you know I could never resist, Pink, Girly and Die Cuts. I have been saving this stamp for just the perfect challenge!  Well, this is IT!  My daughter in law was the feature twirler at Georgia Tech during her college days.  She was an amazing twirler, so I knew she would adore this card.

I used a variety of Valentine papers I had in my stash for the background.  The heart journal die is from SugarPea Designs.  Melon Mambo card stock was used for the journal.  I cut a white circle from SugarPea Designs-Zig Zag Stitched Circles and sponged Melon Mambo ink around the edges.  The precious twirler is from Artistic Outpost-Cutie Pie stamp set.  I stamped her in Momento Black ink on Neenah Solor White card stock and colored her with Copic Markers. I fussy cut her and her puppy to add to my stitched circle. She is attached with dimensionals   I also stamped the twirler on the pink and white hearts paper and cut her jacket out and paper pieced it.  Lots of Wink of Stella was added to make her shine!

The sentiment is stamped in Melon Mambo ink and a  My Favorite Things-Fishtale Stax Die was used to cut the banner.  I added  a few of the Melon Mambo hearts from the journal die and covered them with Glossy Accents.  This card just makes me smile!

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!

The  SugarPea Designs-Go-Pher It was used to create the little gopher.  His gems were created using  the SugarPea Sparkle and Shine Stamp set.  Copic Markers were used to color the images.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.  I used some Valentine paper in my stash for the background and the center strip was created using the SugarPea Designs Build A Background-Basics stamp set. All Of Me Loves All Of You--PP278

January 17, 2016

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

A huge thank you for everyone that played along with my bright color challenge last week!  Wow!  So many fabulous cards!

This week the Sensational Sandy is our hostess.  The challenge is to create a Clean and Simple Valentine!

If you follow my blog, you know that Clean and Simple is the most difficult card for me to make.  I bought this Simon Says Scrolled Heart die last year and never used it.  I decided it was perfect for my card.  I cut it out in Real Red card stock and adhered it to a white card base.

I stamped the sentiment from a My Favorite Things stamp, Love You More in black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  A few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added for sparkle.  I think this is the simplest card I ever created.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!

I really like this sketch, and I will use it again.  I wanted to make a Valentine for my Mommy.  I just received a few things from the new Occasions catalog from Stampin' Up!  My base card is white card stock.   I cut the top two borders using a Pretty Pink Posh die using Rose Red and Whisper White card stock.  I added the new Love Blossoms DSP below the borders.  Bloomin' Hearts thinlet dies were used to cut the heart in Blushing Bride paper and the flowers in white.  I sponged the flowers with Rose Red ink.  A pearl was added to the centers of each flower. The sentiment is from the same set and stamped in Rose Red ink and I fussy cut the banner and added a little pearl.  I love the way this turned out.  I know it is perfect for my Mom.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!
