Happy Mother's Day Tic Tac Toe Challenge #tttc111

April 29, 2021

It's time for a new challenge at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

We hope you will play along with our new board!

My card is created using the diagonal:  Mother image, Coloring and Scallops.

This slim line card was so fun to create.  It is for my DIL.  We both love girly gift things--shoes, make up and flowers!

I used slim line dies and the SU set Dress to Impress.  I colored the items with Copic Markers and fussy cut them.  A little Wink of Stella and is all came together!

Please stop by and see all the fabulous cards by the Design Team.  There is so much inspiration!

We hope you will play along with us this week!

You Color My World Paper Players Challenge PP538

April 25, 2021

It is Sunday and you know what that means!  It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

I am the hostess this week and I have a fun sketch challenge for all of you!  You can create any type of card so it is going to be fun to see all the fabulous cards in the gallery!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a black and white diagonal stripe for my background.   It was trimmed with a stitched die.  The floral pattern was in my stash and I just loved it so, I trimmed it with a smaller stitched die and added it for the next layer.  You know how I love polka dots, so a rectangle was added across the middle of the card to match the sketch.  I cut an oval with the background paper but, turned the stripes the opposite direction.  The MFT Pure Innocence girl is from the "You Color My World" Stamp set.  It is no longer available.  I colored her with Copic Markers and added lots of Wink of Stella for shine.  I used the matching die to cut her out.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.   I cut the sentiment out using a banner die.  A few enamel dots were added for fun!

I Hear the Most Amazing People are Born in April Paper Players Challenge PP537 Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC255

 April 18, 2021

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps

The Lovely Laurie is the hostess at  The Paper Players  this week.  She has a fabulous CAS challenge for all of us!  The theme is "birthdays"!

The Sunday Stamps Challenge is a beautiful color palette.  These colors are so pretty!

Have fun and get creative with your projects!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added an extra layer of white so I could cut the flowers on the top panel and use the negative space for the color on the flowers.  I used two shades of blue and yellow and added yellow centers to all the flowers.  I stamped the stems with a fun stamp I found in my stash using green ink.  The sentiment is stamped using a stamp from Concord and 9th.

Let's Chill Tic Tac Toe Challenge #tttc109

 April 15, 2021

It's time for a new challenge at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

We hope you will play along with our new board!

My card is created using the last row: Blue, Polka Dots, Cute Critter.

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a panel of Misty Moonlight card stock trimmed with a scalloped die.  Then I cut a rectangle of polka dots.  The starburst is cut with a die and I distressed the background to look like sundown at the beach.  The little elephant is from Neat N Tangled Beach Day Stamps. I colored him with Copic Markers and cut him out with the matching dies.  I added Wink of Stella for shine.  The sentiment is from the MFT penguin set, Penguin Chill.  I think both of the sets I used today are retired now.

CHEERS Paper Players Challenge PP536

 April 10, 2021

It is Sunday and you know what that means!  It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a beautiful color challenge for all of us!  We can't wait to see all of your amazing projects!

When I saw this color palette, I knew just what I wanted to do! I wanted to use my MFT Wine Glass Shaker Die because I instantly thought of red wine when I saw the Merry Merlot color.  My card is created on a white card base.  I added a layer of Crumb Cake that I embossed with a folder I found in my stash.  I cut the wine glasses using the die from Misty Moonlight card stock.  I used the Merry Merlot ink and smeared a little on some watercolor paper.  I then sprayed it with water and let it run so it looked like wine in a glass.  I cut the wine section with the die and paper pieced it in the glass.  I added lots of glossy accents on the wine section and Wink of Stella on the Misty Moonlight glass.  The "CHEERS" was cut with a die I found in my stash.  After letting the glossy accents dry for 24 hours, I went outside to get a picture.  Wouldn't you know, a gush of wind came and blew my card in the swimming pool!!!  I was so upset.  All that work and watching it float in the water.  I got the net and rescued it.  Then after it dried, I decided to try to salvage it.  I added a new card base and I was pretty pleased with it.  I know it has some imperfections from the water, but it didn't look that bad.  I didn't have time to make another card because three of my grand children are here for the week.  I finally got it dry and ready to go again.  I went out in the sprinkles and it got raindrops on it.  You can see them in the picture.  I think maybe this card was snake bit.  Oh well, it is the best I could do for this week.  I hope y'all have better luck than I did!

Easter Blessings Paper Players Challenge Sunday Stamps Challenge PP535 SSC254

April 4, 2021

Happy Easter to everyone that celebrates!  I hope your day is filled with special moments!

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps

The amazing Jaydee is our hostess at The Paper Players  this week.  She has a fabulous theme challenge for all of us-- "Springtime Flowers"!

I am the hostess at the Sunday Stamps Challenge this week.   I love slim-line cards and I thought it would be fun to create this size card with a "BOLD" sentiment!

Have fun and get creative with your projects!

A "slimline card" is a long, narrow card made to fit in a regular #10 business envelope, which measures approximately 4-1/8″ x 9-1/2″.  Make your slimline card slightly smaller in order to fit into the envelope.

Sketch by Claire

My card is created on a white card base.  I used slim line dies and cut a plaid background and another layer in a pink and cream pattern. The lilies were created using dies from The Greetery.  I sponged distress inks on white card stock and then cut the lilies out with the Botanicuts Lily Die.  I will admit this was quite time consuming with all the different layers, but I love the results.  I added Wink of Stella for shine and Stickles on the leaves to look like water droplets.  The "Easter" was cut with an SSS Easter Wafer Die and the "blessings" was stamped using the Easter Jubilee Greetings Kit and used the matching die to cut it out.

Happy Easter Tic Tac Toe Challenge #tttc107

April 1, 2021

It's time for a new challenge at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

We hope you will play along with our new board!

My card is created using the middle column:  Scallops, Feminine, Purple.

I created my card on a white card base. I cut the background in purple using a scalloped slim line die.  The next layer was cut using purple and white stripes using another scalloped die.  The lilies were created using The Greetery BotaniCuts Lily Die.  I used Distress inks to ink the paper.  I absolutely love these gorgeous lilies!  I added Wink of Stella to the leaves and lilies for shine.  I colored the ends of the stamens with a black marker.
