It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!
The amazing Joanne is our hostess this week and she has a CLEAN and SIMPLE Challenge for all of us! Fruit and Berries are the theme for the week. A perfect challenge for summer!
There is nothing better than a cold slice of watermelon on a hot summer day! I used a plaid, polka dot and ant paper I found in my stash to create my background. Have you ever been outside eating that ants didn't appear from out of nowhere? LOL! This little cutie is from MFT Pure Innocence. The stamp set is called Summer Sweetness. It is no longer available on their site. I colored her with Copic Markers and paper pieced her shirt and shorts to match the background. I added Glossy Accents to the watermelon. I heat embossed the black sentiment on a black banner. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

What a great use of the papers Claire and I love that you made a matching envelope. The image is so cute, especially with her shorts and top to match the papers! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteI just love the cards you make with the cute kids! This is adorable too and so great for the challenge!
ReplyDeleteClaire, I love everything about this sweet card! That little girl, the pretty patterned papers, and that adorable little girl munching on her watermelon!
ReplyDeleteAdorable card, and I love the watermelon! SO cute!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite PI's from MFT. The watermelon looks just perfectly ripe! Such a great card!
ReplyDeleteThat watermelon looks delicious Claire - and I love the co-ordinated melon-eater too! Great DSP choices - love it!
ReplyDeleteThat ant paper is the cutest!! Much cuter than the real thing that keep finding their way into my house! Perfect combo of papers and image! Take care!
ReplyDeleteCute card. The image is adorable and I love the edition of the "ants" on the card. I'm probably one of the (rare) people who however don't think watermelon is yummy. Even the smell of it makes me nauseated.
ReplyDeleteClaire, you have the best collection of patterned paper and you always use it beautifully. This perfectly lovely little girl is clearly enjoying her watermelon. A sweeter than sweet CAS design.
ReplyDeleteOh, Claire! Everything about this card is SO cute...from the paper pieced shorts and shirt to the absolutely adorable ant paper. What an amazing card!!!
ReplyDeleteGingham, polka dots and watermelon! You just can't get more summertime than that. Such a fun card, Claire!
