Guide Us To The Perfect Light Paper Players 471

Dec. 8, 2019

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Before I get to this week's challenge I would like to say "THANK YOU" to our fantastic Guest Designers:  Wanda, Su and Windy, you have been AMAZING to work with!  I adore all of your beautiful creations each week!  Please continue to play along with us!

The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a gorgeous color challenge for all of us!  Seaside Spray and Crumb Cake plus Silver or Gold.  I know there will be so many wonderful creations in our gallery with this fabulous combo.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to use gold or silver with the Seaside Spray and Crumb Cake so, I made one of each.  My card background is Seaside Spray.  I added a piece of gold/ silver glimmer paper for the next layer.  Then I added another layer of S.S. I heat embossed the design in silver/gold embossing powder from the retired Stampin' Up! Star of Light stamp set. The matching thinlits were used to cut the star in three different layers.  I used Crumb Cake and the silver/gold glimmer paper to make the large stars.  I embossed the sentiment and it is from the same stamp set.  I added rhinestones on the silver one and gold sequins on the gold one.  Do you have a favorite?  My photos don't do them justice.  (It is hard to get photos of glimmer paper) SORRY!

  1. I thought I was Team Silver all the way with this color combo, however the gold really pops on your card. Both of them are gorgeous and even more sparkly in-person, I'm sure. Fabulous projects, as always, my friend. Have a fabulous day! Hugs!

  9. Love that starry focal point Claire! I thought I would prefer the silver one, but actually the gold has it - so pretty it really sparkles and shines!

  10. Claire, I love them both... but the silver takes my vote. But... I do love the gold one, too! Tough to decide when the focal point is so fabulous. Have a wonderful week, my friend
