It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!
Before I get to this week's challenge I would like to say "THANK YOU" to our fantastic Guest Designers: Wanda, Su and Windy, you have been AMAZING to work with! I adore all of your beautiful creations each week! Please continue to play along with us!
The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a gorgeous color challenge for all of us! Seaside Spray and Crumb Cake plus Silver or Gold. I know there will be so many wonderful creations in our gallery with this fabulous combo.
I couldn't decide if I wanted to use gold or silver with the Seaside Spray and Crumb Cake so, I made one of each. My card background is Seaside Spray. I added a piece of gold/ silver glimmer paper for the next layer. Then I added another layer of S.S. I heat embossed the design in silver/gold embossing powder from the retired Stampin' Up! Star of Light stamp set. The matching thinlits were used to cut the star in three different layers. I used Crumb Cake and the silver/gold glimmer paper to make the large stars. I embossed the sentiment and it is from the same stamp set. I added rhinestones on the silver one and gold sequins on the gold one. Do you have a favorite? My photos don't do them justice. (It is hard to get photos of glimmer paper) SORRY!

I thought I was Team Silver all the way with this color combo, however the gold really pops on your card. Both of them are gorgeous and even more sparkly in-person, I'm sure. Fabulous projects, as always, my friend. Have a fabulous day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour stars are beautiful, and the swoosh is wonderful, Claire! And, you did a great job photographing the sparkle! If I had to choose a favorite, I'd pick silver.
ReplyDeleteBe still my heart! These are both gorgeous, and I LOVE all the glimmer and sparkle and shine. Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteSo very elegant! Love that gorgeous star!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous stars, both of them are stunning, although I am partial to the silver! And thank you for your stunning Christmas card I received today! I keep taking it out and looking at it over and over again! Thanks for making my colors look fabulous this week!
ReplyDeleteLove the star and all the glimmer/glitter! Beautiful card! Thank you for all the inspiration and I loved being on the design team with you this year. Merry Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Claire! Both are stunning, but there is something about the silver sparkle that takes my breath away...Have a wonderful Christmas, my friend!
ReplyDeleteYour star makes such a fabulous focal point and is gorgeous in both silver and gold! I want to thank you for the warm reception and so many gracious comments while I guested with your team this past year! It was great getting to know you ladies a bit better and will say you all are the best! Wishing you a very happy and blessed Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLove that starry focal point Claire! I thought I would prefer the silver one, but actually the gold has it - so pretty it really sparkles and shines!
ReplyDeleteClaire, I love them both... but the silver takes my vote. But... I do love the gold one, too! Tough to decide when the focal point is so fabulous. Have a wonderful week, my friend
