So Thankful Inspired By Challenge #88

September 5, 2019

It's time for a new challenge at Inspired By!

Fall is near and it is such a beautiful season.  What inspires you about this photo?  Is it the theme, the flowers, colors, the farm equipment?  We can't wait to see what you create!

I must admit that my photo does not do this card justice.  It kind of looks like a blob to me!  LOL!  It is really pretty when you see it though.  I created a watercolored panel using Distress Oxide inks in brown and orange.  After it dried, I stamped the MFT Poppies Background stamp with Versa Mark ink.  I heat embossed the poppies with gold embossing powder.

I stamped the sentiment on Vellum and heat embossed it in gold, too.  I adhered the watercolored panel on shiny gold card stock.  Then both panels were adhered to a white card base.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Check out all the inspiration from the Design Team.  We sure hope you will play along with us this week!

There Is No Better Friend FMS #400

September 1, 2019

I have been trying to make a card all week for the Freshly Made Sketches amazing milestone!
This is their 400th challenge!  Each week they inspire so many of us!  I am always in awe of all the DT cards and the following they have.

CONGRATULATIONS and thank you for all you do for the card crafting community!

My card is created on a white card base.  I have been saving this image since last year to use on a card.  It is from Honey Bee Stamps Acorn Sisters stamp set.  I stamped the image and colored all of the girls with Copic Markers.  I added some Wink of Stella for shine.  I dug through all my Fall papers and found these leaves and the rust colored papers that matched.  The sentiment is stamped in brown and it is from the same stamp set.  I loved the way it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Hope you enjoyed my card.

What's Moo? Paper Players #457

September 1, 2019

Can you believe it is September?!?!  I can't!
I am sad summer is slowly coming to an end, but I love Fall, too!

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous theme challenge for all of us!  "Down on the Farm" is right up my alley!  I grew up on a small farm in Indiana and I will always be a Hoosier at heart.  I love all my precious memories of living there.  I wish children could experience the life I had as a child.  Lots of animals, riding on a tractor, a huge garden and lots of corn everywhere were highlights of my childhood.

My card is created on a white card base.  I used the gingham and barn scene paper from SugarPea Designs Countryside Charm Patterned Paper .  The little farm girl, the cow, the goat and the sentiment are all from the SugarPea Designs Barn to Be Wild stamp set.  I colored the images with Copic Markers and added Wink of Stella for shine.  I used the matching dies to cut all the pieces out.
The sentiment is stamped on white and I cut the banner end with scissors.
