Just For You--PP361

September 10, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The lovely and talented Jaydee is our hostess this week!  She has a beautiful color challenge for all of us!

I must admit, my first thought with this beautiful color palette was Christmas, but I decided to make a birthday card.  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  I used the Reverse Confetti Swoosh Cover Panel die to cut out the silver foil frame.  I added in part of the pieces and left the others white.  I stamped the peony and leaves using The Ton Large Peony 2 stamp.  They were colored with  Copic Markers.  Pretty Pink Posh sequins and Wink Of Stella was added for shine.

In A Good Book--PP360

September 3, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

I am the hostess and I have a fun theme challenge for all of you!  It's "Back To School" time and we can't wait to see what you create!  We have already been in school for a month in Georgia, but most places go back to school after Labor Day.  There is always someone to make a card or project for: a teacher, a student, a bus driver, coach, school employee or even a volunteer!  Have fun and get creative!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a piece of patterned paper cut using the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I stamped the sentiment in black on a white rectangle using the SugarPea Designs Read Between the Lines stamp set.     I mounted the sentiment on black card stock.  The glasses were cut in red, yellow and blue card stock using the Brainy Bookmarks die by SugarPea Designs.  I added Glossy Accents on the lenses to make them shiny.  I used a banner punch from Stampin' Up! to create all the banners.  I added a black enamel dot on each one.  This card can be given to a teacher, a student, a librarian or any one that loves reading!

Hip, Hippo, Hooray! --Sketch Saturday #479

September 2, 2017

It's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Sketch Saturday!

Our sponsor this week is Pink Gem Designs.  The prize is 2 single digis or 2 card topper kits. How fun is that?

I used the Henrietta with Flowers digi stamp to create my card.  I love hippos and this little gem made me smile!

I used a piece of plaid paper and some purple card stock to create my background.  The squares were punched with square punches and I added the little decorative purple cut out on top of the squares.  Henrietta is colored with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut her and added lots of Wink of Stella for shine.  Orange enamel dots were added for fun to complete my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!

Don't forget to check out all the other DT members cards at

Have a great week!
