It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!
Our lovely LeAnne is the hostess this week! She has a fabulous sketch for all of us to play along with. This is a sketch that can be used in so many ways. We can't wait to see what you create.
My card is created for my sister. Her birthday is this week and YES, she is older than me! At our house, the phone has always been part of a family joke. Back when there were no cell phones, recorders or other ways to know who was calling, I would always burst through the door to ask, "Did anybody call?" When I was home, I was always on the phone. So, when I went to the Scrap booking Expo last week in Duluth GA, I found a stamp company (new to me) called The Stamps of Life. They had so many fun, whimsical stamps. I had to buy several, but my favorite was this set called Phone4You with matching dies.
So happy you stopped by my blog today! Please leave a message! I love to hear from you!
Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

I love your traditional phone handset Claire and the detail of the enamel dots on the dial is just perfect. I used to spend hours on the phone as a teenager too - usually to my best friend that I'd spent the entire day at school with, much to my Mum's dismay! I'm sure your sister will love it!
ReplyDeleteI like the diagonal cross hatch pattern in the background! The phone detail is stunning! Superb!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I love this card too....so cute and funny! I cracked up out loud when I saw it! Thanks for using this with my sketch!
ReplyDeleteSimply fabulous card...love your sweet phone!
ReplyDeleteClaire, I love the colors on this card and, of course, the sentiment. I do remember the days of phones with no recording devices... in fact I still remember party lines! It's a fabulous card and I know your sister will have loved it, too.

This sentiment cracks me up, Claire! I was wondering who you were sending it to...your sister sounds perfect! Love that purple phone!
ReplyDeleteSuper funny, Claire. We probably all would love to use this sentiment on a card. Love the colors and the images too.
