A Book Is A Gift Inspired By Challenge #113

Feb. 27, 2020

It's Thursday and time for and new challenge at

How cozy is this inspiration photo?  Doesn't it make you want to jump on the sofa and read a book!

How does this photo inspire you?  Is it the colors, the books, the flowers, the textures, the patterns, the sofa?  We can't wait to see what you create.

I was inspired by the books on the coffee table.
My grand daughter's birthday is coming soon and she loves to read.  She loves yellow and pink so I selected this Stamping Bella Book Worm Squidgy stamp to create her card.  I colored the image with Copic Markers and added lots of Wink of Stella for shine.  I cut the panel and added a flowered background to help the image pop.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I added a few yellow enamel dots for fun.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Check out all the inspiration from the Design Team.  We sure hope you will play along with us this week!

Hugs Tic Tac Toe Challenge #tttc053

Feb. 27, 2020

It's time to play along at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Tenia is our hostess and she has an amazing board for all of us!

I played on the diagonal this week:  Watercolor, Flowers, Big Sentiment.

My card is created on a white card base.  The watercolor panel is created using two shades of Distress Oxide Ink.  I trimmed the paper with a postage stamp die.  The flowers and leaves are created using the MFT Stitched Blooms dies.  I love these dies and have created many cards with them.   I used yellow and coral paper for the flowers and picked a plaid patterned paper for the leaves.  I thought it added more dimension.  The sentiment is cut five times using coral paper.  I added a few sparkling sequins to complete more card.

Please stop by and see all the fabulous cards by the Design Team.  There is so much inspiration!

We hope you will play along with us this week!

The whole idea is to have some Christmas cards and projects in your stash ready to go for December 2020!

So hop along and be sure to visit each blog.
There is a lot of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing!

Kelly Lunceford (Creator)

Gnomes are the rage and I am a little late to the party so, I thought I would make two cards for this months challenge.  I made these two cards using the Simon Says Stamp Dec. 2019 kit of the month.  The gnome die was part of the kit.  You can buy it separately at Gnome Wafer Die.

The pattered papers are from Photo Play Christmas Kringle & Co.  I love all the plaids and checks and mixed and matched them on the gnomes hats, jackets and backgrounds.  I used a Copic Marker to color the beard and noses.  I added a sentiment using the Simon Says Stamp Gnome for the Holidays stamp set.  The snow banks are created using the Drifting Dies from The Greetery.  I stamped the sentiment on black paper with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  Black and white Baker's Twine was added and a white pom pom on their hats.

Thanks for stopping by!  Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!  Do you have a favorite?

The hop is hosted by the fabulous Kelly Lunceford's blog, so head over there to start from the beginning.

ENJOY the blog hop!  I hope we inspired you to make a few cards, too!

Make Today Amazing Inspired By Challenge 112

Feb. 20, 2020

It's time for a new challenge at Inspired By!

I absolutely love cacti.  I lived in Arizona for a few years and I fell in love with cacti.  They intrigue me and I only wish I could keep them alive.  LOL!  I know I water them too much, but I continue to try to have a cacti planter in the summer.

How does this photo inspire you?  Is it the cacti, the colors, the pots, the patterns?  We can't wait to see what you create.

My card is created on a white card base.  I added MFT Black and White striped paper for the next panel.  The top white layer is cut with a SugarPea designs zig zag stitched rectangle die.  The circle was cut with a circle die.  The cactus and the pot are from the Stamps for Life Succulents2 stamp set.  I used the matching dies to cut them out.  I paper pieced the pot with a piece of paper in my stash.  I colored the red flowers with Copic Markers.  A few black enamel dots were added to complete my card.

Sunny Days Ahead Paper Players PP478

Feb. 15, 2020

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at ThPaper Players!

The incredibly talented Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a FUN Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us.  Any one that reads Jaydee's blog enjoys all the fabulous visitors she has in her yard each week.  She is a nature lover and the wonderful friends that visit her home are mesmerizing.  She captures fabulous photos and I look forward to viewing them every Sunday.

I must admit, I am ready for Spring.  I am not a fan of winter, so warm weather, longer days and outside activities makes me happy!  In Atlanta, I see Redbud trees blooming and tulips popping up.  I am afraid it is a little early, but we will hope for the best.   I decided to make a little fox holding his "Sunny Days Ahead" sign.  I cut a floral piece of patterned paper with a scalloped die for my simple background.  The fox is created using Lawn Fawn Woodland Critter Hugger Dies.  I used a variety of paper scraps and the dies to create this colorful fox.  The sentiment is from an old Simon Says Stamp set I found in my stash.

Be Mine Tic Tac Toe Challenge #tttc051

Feb. 13, 2020

I am so happy to announce that the Tic Tac Toe Challenge is back up and running!  This is the second week and we couldn't be more thrilled to host this amazing challenge!  I am on Team O and here is the board for this week.  Laurie is our hostess this week and she included a lot of fabulous February ideas for your projects!

I used the left column to create my card.  (Hearts, Polka Dots and Red)

I used a white card base and added a polka dot panel.  Then I cut a red rectangle and and turquoise layer with a die from my stash.  I added a heart panel and then a red and white oval.  The little girl is from MFT-Pure Innocence Blowing Kisses stamp set.  I colored her with Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress.  I added a little red heart in her hands.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I cut a speech bubble shape for the MWAH!   The Be Mine banner is made using a die from MFT.  I cut it out in red and then again in pink to get the letters to piece in the banner.  I added white Baker's twine across the top.

Sending You Love Inspired By Challenge 111

Feb. 13, 2020

It's Thursday and time for a new challenge at Inspired By

How can you not love this gorgeous patchwork?

What inspires you about this photo? Is it the patchwork, the color combo, the lantern, the patterns, the squares?  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created using my favorite color combo-Real Red and Tempting Turquoise.  I started with a turquoise card base and added a red panel trimmed with a stitched rectangle die.  I cut a white panel using a stitched die, too.  The quilt pieces were made using the MFT Blueprints #20 dies.  I made a frame with the turquoise and then cut the die in white and removed the white squares and embossed them with a folder.  Then I cut the die again with red and white polka dots to get the geometric shapes for the centers.  I added a sentiment stamped in red.  This card is for my Sweet Mommy that used to sew all the time.  I sent it to her for Valentine's.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Check out all the inspiration from the Design Team.  We sure hope you will play along with us this week!
