It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.
The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us! "Going to the Beach" is the theme. I think the beach is always a good idea! Just remember to keep it CAS. Lots of white space, uncluttered and few embellishments! Have fun and get creative!
My card is created on a white card base. I cut a panel of watercolor paper and used Mermaid Lagoon distress ink, water and an acrylic block to create the water The sand was stamped with a retired SU Gorgeous Grunge stamp and tan ink. The flip flops are stamped in several colors using the Simon Says Stamp retired Beachy Keen stamp set.

Nothing says "going to the beach" like flip flops! Love this, Claire! Your water and sand are perfect too!
ReplyDeleteI love how you used a technique with water to make the water on your card ; ) and the Gorgeous Grunge sand...I remember when it seemed like we were using Gorgeous Grunge on everything and it's still in my stamp collection too. It looks like several people are ready to feel that Gorgeous Grunge sand between their toes and feel that Mermaid Lagoon water splash across their feet. A perfect card for the theme! ReplyDeleteI like your ink smooshy background but it's those vibrant jandals that I really love - such a summer icon! Gorgeous Grunge - one of my first sets and I still have it and stil use it. :-)
