It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.
The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week. She has a fabulous sketch challenge for all of us. I love sketches because you can make any type of card you need in your stash. So have fun and get creative!
I created this card for Victoria to celebrate the end of 7th grade. She loves purple and roller skating so, I thought this would be a fun card for her. I used the American Crafts Jen Hadfield Groovy Darlin paper pack. The disco ball was cut using the Spellbinders Disco Balls Etched Dies using white glimmer paper. The sentiment on the front and inside were created using an retired Papertrey Ink set called Shakers and Sprinkles. I added the disco stars cut from the glimmer paper.

Super cute and lots of yummy colors.
ReplyDeleteLove that retro disco ball and the fun skates! She will love it! Thanks for rockin' my sketch too! Have a marvelous week, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI love the disco ball for the circular element of the sketch, Claire! It’s perfect with the roller skates, so fun. My kiddo has just started liking roller blading and it brings back memories of birthday parties at the skating rink. Have a wonderful week, friend!
ReplyDeleteWell, isn't this just so much fun! Your wonderful paper stash has come to the fore again and that glittery disco ball is great. I'll bet Victoria enjoyed it a lot. Have a great week, :-)
ReplyDeleteClaire, your card is just the CUTEST! I adore the roller skates and the disco ball, it certainly takes me back a few decades lol! I'm glad Victoria likes skating, it's such a fun activity for 12 year olds. And no doubt she loved your card!
ReplyDeleteI hope your back is getting better, it's such a debilitating pain to deal with. Take care!
Claire this card is so fun! The retro design and combination of roller skates and disco ball is just fabulous - it is giving me total roller disco 80s throwback vibes! I'm sure Victoria will love it too.
ReplyDeleteEnd of 7th grade. Where has the time gone?! I bet she loved this card, I know I do. That patterned paper is so much fun and I love it with the check. Such a great take on the sketch.
