You Make Every Day Brighter The Paper Players Challenge PP780 Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC 383

 April 5, 2026

HAPPY EASTER!!!

"Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!"

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps.

The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week at The Paper Players and she has a very fun theme challenge for all of us.  "Spring Showers" are always special and help bring on the flowers.  Sunday Stamps has a great sketch challenge by Deb.  I decided to combine the challenges.  I hope you can play along with us.

My card is created on a white card base.  I added another white panel that was cut with a die.  I used a stencil to create the raindrops and then sponged around the panel with the same color blue ink.  The little boy is from an old MFT stamp set, Puddle Jumper.  I paper- pieced umbrella with a scrap of polka dots I found on my table.  I colored him with Copic Markers.  I added Glossy Accents to his boots and Wink of Stella for shine.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

  2. The raindrops are the perfect thing to make the background for that sketch, what a wonderful way to combine the challenges. Your little guy reminds me of when my kiddo was tiny and used to love to splash in puddles, he didn't bother with a raincoat though : ) Have a wonderful week and Happy Easter!

  3. Well, this sketch is perfect for your little puddle jumper! And those raindrops are so very cool! I don't think I've seen a stencil for them but it seems like it would be handy for a background like this! Awesome coloring and a perfect sentiment as well! Hope you had a blessed Easter, my friend!

  4. The wee lad with his boots and umbrella is lovely but what really sets him apart is the sweet stencilled raindrops. Super card, Claire. :-)
