It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.
The sensational Stef is our hostess this week and she has a fantastic sketch challenge for all of us. You can make any type of card you need in your stash with this one. So have fun and get creative!
I needed a special thank you card for a dear friend and I found this fabulous paper in my stash. I used the background sheet and the swirl on the opposite side for my border. The feather was heat embossed in white powder using the stamp set Inked Well from The Greetery and I used the matching Dies. The ink well and quill are from the same set. I haven't used this set often, but I think it needs more love. The sentiment was stamped four times and stacked for dimension. It is also from The Greetery Scripted Sentiments and the matching Dies were used. The "so very much" is from the same set and stamped on the card. I added three black enamel dots to complete my card.

WOw, this is amazing! First, the papers and the quill and ink are really elegant, but the fact that you stamped and layered the sentiment four times doubly amazed me! Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the drama of that fancy quill Claire and the swirled border is really eye-catching - it reminds me of ink printing. Fab script sentiment too!
ReplyDeleteI love the big flourishes on your greeting to go with the fancy quill pen! That beautiful paper reminds me of geodes and tumbled stones, my grandfather used to polish stones for things like bookends and the stones looked a bit like that paper. Great use of the sketch!
ReplyDeleteClaire, your card is just so gorgeous! The fancy quill and the ink bottle are beautiful and could be used for any occasion. And that paper! Wow, such a wonderful flowing design with all those pretty colors. It really does look like the inside of a Thunderegg or geode of some kind. Fabulous card, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThe quill and ink bottle are gorgeous, and are such multi-purpose images. Love that gorgeous copperplate 'thanks', looking as if it's straight from the quill. As for that funky paper - how wonderful is that?! It's a lovely card. :-)
ReplyDeleteClair, I LOVE this card. It is gorgeous. The colorful swirly paper looks great with the flourishes on the sentiment. And what can I say about the quill and ink well? The quill has won my heart. Have a wonderful week!
