It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.
The amazing Ann is our hostess this week. She has a fabulous "Clean and Simple" Challenge for all of us. Back to Nature is the theme. You can use a plant of an animal on your project. WOW--so many possibilities with this theme. Have fun and get creative!
The Paper Players use the term "Clean and Simple" meaning:
Minimal Layers and Embellishments
Have plenty of open space
Are simple and uncluttered
I decided to add to my Halloween stash with a Clean and Simple card. I used watercolor paper and distress inks to create the background. I used an edge die to cut the panel. The Clearly Besotted Halloween Hippo set was used for the hippo and the sentiment. I colored the hippo with Copic Markers. I also stamped a few bats in the evening sky.

Oh my! A hippo on a broomstick - how could it not bring a smile to your face?! I hope you have a great week, Claire. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that little hippo, and I love the background as well! Those bats add just the right amount of fun!
ReplyDeleteOh, Claire! Just when I think your cards cannot get any cuter, you create this one. A witchy hippo on a broom? Can it possibly get any more adorable??? The night sky with the bats is a delightful background for this happy hippo. The sentiment couldn't be any more perfect! Thank you for making my challenge shine this week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful Halloween card, Claire! That hippo witch couldn't be more adorable and the die cut sky added such interest. That sentiment tickles me too. Love this to pieces!
ReplyDeleteYour broom-toting hippo is so cute Claire - he reminds me of a Moomin! Great night sky too - very atmospheric!
ReplyDeleteClaire, I just love your hippo on her broom! This card just made me smile. I also love the shape to the top, it adds a feeling of movement to your hippo.
