Sending a Flurry of Love Paper Players Challenge PP524

 Jan. 17, 2021

It's Sunday and you know what that means!

It is time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

I am the hostess this week and I have a fun CAS challenge for all of you!  The theme is "SNOW"!  We don't see much snow in Atlanta, so show me what you've got and I will dream about a snowy day!

CLEAN AND SIMPLE WEEK
MINIMAL LAYERS
LITTLE TO NO EMBELLISHMENTS

LOTS OF CLEAN WHITE SPACE (NO PATTERN)

Y'all know that CAS is difficult for me.  I love my layers and bling, so I reined it in and did my best.  I used this image a few weeks ago, but I just love this little girl.  She reminds me of growing up in Indiana where we had a lot of snow!!!!!  My card base is white and I used a scalloped die to cut another white layer.  I stamped this cutie using the MFT BB Best Wishes stamp set.  I colored her with Copic Markers.  I distressed the background and scalloped edge with "Salty Ocean" and stamped the snowflakes using a stamp from the set using the same distress ink.  I added Wink of Stella on her coat and hat for shine!  The sentiment is stamped in black using a stamp from the same set.

  1. Hi Claire. Your card is adorable. The coat, scarf and boots on that little cutie in the snow are colored so perfectly. What a beautiful color combination. I always enjoy seeing your projects!

  2. How adorable is this, Claire! Clean and simple perfection!!! Your coloring of this cutie patootie is spot on! I remember the Illinois snowfalls on the farm when I was growing up. There's something so serene and beautiful about a fresh blanket of snow...

  3. Thanks for such a fun challenge! While I think we get more snow in Richmond than you do in Atlanta it still has been scarce this winter (and last) so I loved seeing your cutie all dressed to be out in the weather. The scalloped and sponged edge are perfect for this CAS challenge! Have a great week!

  8. Love your CAS snow scene Claire! I too struggle with CAS but I find it's getting a bit easier than it was years ago. I guess with practice most things improve. LOL I enjoyed the Snow theme too. Something different for this Florida girl. Have a great week!
