It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! I am the hostess this week and I have a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of you! Who knew that there would be so many snow storms around the country today! We don't have any snow in Atlanta, but my family in Indiana has a lot!
Have fun, but remember this is a CAS week, so please remember:
- Minimal layers and embellishments
- Plenty of open space, aka "white" space
- Simple and uncluttered
I love square cards, so I cut my card 5 X 5. I stamped the little angel bird and his shadow using the Honey Bee stamps Snow Birds. I colored him with Copic Markers. I mask off the bird, stamped on the sentiment in black ink and then I embossed the top with a polka dot stencil using embossing paste. I stamped the little bird on the envelope, too! I am not a huge fan of snow, but I do like to build snowmen or make snow angels. If you have snow, enjoy it!
Challenge Rules:
- Create a new paper-craft project specifically for this challenge.
- Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us.
- Please provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge entry.

What a cutie Claire - snow without snow angels just won't do! Love the textured polka dots too. Keep warm!
ReplyDeleteHow clever and fun to see your birdie making a snow angel! I'll have to share with you about the time several years ago when our oldest son and DIL lived in Atlanta. My daughter and I flew down during spring break and were totally expected halfway warm weather since it was March. Nope! Atlanta got snow! It was wet and didn't accumulate much but people were going crazy playing in it! We nearly froze as I had not packed for that weather. It didn't stop us though. We drove in the slush to eat brunch at Gladys and Ron's Chicken and Waffles - lol - and drove to Marietta to see where our son worked. My first visit to Ikea was in Atlanta! Fun memories!
ReplyDeleteI love that memory! Yes, Atlanta shuts down if we get a dusting. LOL I grew up in Indiana so, I can't believe how people freak out. Come visit me anytime! XX
DeleteThis little snow angel bird is cute as a button, Claire! I love the textured background you created. One look at this card, and you can't help but smile! What a day brightener this will be for the lucky recipient...
ReplyDeleteClaire, your little bluebird making a snowbird made me smile. He looks so happy! I love the background and the sentiment is fabulous. LOVE IT!
