Hope This Makes You Smile PP402

July 22, 2018

It’s Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The amazing Nance is our hostess this week and she has a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for us!  She wants us to use "Negative Space" on our cards.  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  I did add an orange background in order to make my stenciled sunshine pop.  I used a stencil and Fossilized Amber Distress ink to create the sun rays.  The Hope die is from Concord and 9th Hope bundle.  It includes the die and the stamp set.  I covered the back of the die with a piece of orange card stock and stamped the sentiment in black.  A few sequins were added to complete my card.  I hope Nance thinks it passes for CAS.  LOL!  It is always hard for me to stay clean on a card.

  1. Your semi-distressed looking stencilled background is great, Claire. So useful in many settings. The warm colours you've picked really back up the message.

  4. Just love this, Claire! Sunshine in a card--love the stenciled rays and the way the lines of the Hope die mimic the rays. Great card, my friend!

  7. Claire, I love the vertical stripes from the stencil and the horizontal stripes on the sentiment. The white-die cut with the sentiment stamped inside is fabulous. Such a wonderful warm, cheerful card. The sequins add just the right amount of bling! Hope you have a wonderful weekend
