It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!
It is not often I can combine these challenges but, this week it worked out perfectly! I hope you will play along with both challenges!
The lovely Laurie is the hostess this week at The Paper Players. She has a Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us. Her theme is "Blooms". Remember in addition to the theme of "blooms", this week is a Clean-and-Simple (CAS) challenge! What do we mean by CAS?
- Minimal layers and embellishments
- Plenty of open space, aka "white" space
- Simple and uncluttered
The color challenge at Sunday Stamps is perfect for any type of card. So have fun and get creative!

My card is created on a white card base. I used the Concord and Ninth Hope Stamp Set to create my sentiment. The Hero Arts Ombre Pink to Red ink was used to create the sentiment . The flowers were created using the Altenew Peony Bouquet stamp set.
I used Altenew Dark and Dark Night Inks for the blue peonies. The circles were stamped off using the ombre ink using the same stamp set. A few sparkling clear sequins were added to complete my card.

As a matter of fact, this card does make me smile, Claire! Love your unique way of using these peonies in dark blue, and the pink dotted background. A very striking card.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a stunner! Those colors are so deep and rich, they really make those florals pop! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThose peonies are beautiful! I would never have thought of inking them up with dark blues but they are stunning! Love the ombre sentiment too. Hope you're having a great week ~ Hugs, Annie
ReplyDeleteClaire... I feel so lucky to have this card in my hands! Thank you! The card is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThose peonies are stunning in the blue, and that sentiment is so perfect, as it sure does make you smile!
ReplyDeleteThose blue peonies are so unusual Claire yet look fabulous against the white with the pink dots. A lovely ombre to the word HOPE too!
ReplyDeleteI have the Peony stamp set and I love it... but I've never thought of making them blue! Such a lovely contrast with the pink and white. So pretty, Claire.
ReplyDeleteClaire, I love how you clustered the peonies against the bottom of the card and the deep blue with the pink is an unexpected, but wonderful, color combo. Fabulous card my friend
