You Leave Me In Stitches--PP381

February 18, 2018

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fun "Clean and Simple" challenge for all of us!  LeAnne loves sewing and card making, so this is just perfect for her!  We can't wait to see what you create!

OH MY GOODNESS--I know you are thinking this is not a CAS card. You are correct!  I made my card a few days ago and started to write my blog last night and realized I didn't notice the CAS on the challenge picture!  I wrote LeAnne to apologize.  I offered to skip this week, but she said NO!  So, I will share my card and continue to beg forgiveness.

LeAnne might love sewing,  me, not so much!  But, I was so proud of the stitching I did on my card.  I dug through so many boxes of paper looking for something that had to do with sewing.  I loved the paper I found.  I have had it for years.  I know it is by Authenique, but have no idea the name of the pattern.  I also had a set of stamps that I bought years ago at Michael's that had sewing items in it.  I only used it once.  I had a friend that loved sewing and I made a card for her.  I don't know the name of the stamp set either.  I let the paper do all the work, except for stamping the sentiment.  The ribbon, button and hat pin were added and that is why I struggle with CAS!   I thought the finishing touches were perfect and made me smile!

  4. I ADORE your card and I believe I have the same Authentique paper, or at least something similar! It's plenty CAS....mostly the work is done by the paper, right? I think your sentiment is as sweet as can be, as are the elements! Just perfect, I love it!

  6. Oh Claire, I'm so glad it's not just me that somehow manages to completely obliterate the CAS part out of the challenge graphic and not notice! Such pretty paper and the stitching, along with the beaded pin are fantastic embellishments.
