Praying For You--PP368

October 29, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Our lovely Jaydee is the hostess this week and she has a fabulous Tic-Tac-Toe board for all of us.  I love these boards because of all the possibilities.  Have fun and we can't wait to see what you create.

Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card.  I decided to play on the diagonal silver/gold-die-cut/punch/ fall.  I created an alcohol ink background and then cut out the leaves using the Stampin' Up! Vintage Leaves dies.  My card base is white.  I cut a scalloped background from gold foil.  I splattered the white stitched layer with gold ink.  The leaves were added with dimensionals.  A few sequins were added for sparkle.  The gold sentiment is from  Simon Says Stamp "Praying for you".  The picture is not great with the shine--sorry!

Create a NEW paper, or digital, project.
  1. Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us.
  2. Please provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge entry.
  3. Please link your card to no more than four challenges, TOTAL.  Entries linked to more than 3 challenges, including ours, will be deleted without notification!
  4. Have fun!!
All stamping products are welcome.  Thank you for joining us at The Paper Players!

My sweet Oliver turned one this week.  He is here visiting from Indiana for a few days!  I am loving every minute of their visit.

Have a great week!

HUGS!

  1. So sorry that you needed a sympathy card, Claire but this one is gorgeous. The swirls on your inked leaves are so pretty. The gold elements lend an elegant touch just perfect for the sentiment. I know you are making great memories with your family this weekend--happy birthday sweet Oliver!

  4. Claire I've always wanted to try alcohol inks but they kind of intimidate me. You however, handle them beautifully! I love the mottled colors on your beautiful leaves. And that Oliver, what a cutie pie!
