Hi! It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.
The amazing Joanne is our hostess this week and she has a Clean and Simple Coloring Challenge for all of us! There is nothing I enjoy more in card making than coloring an image so, this was such a fun card for me to make! We can't wait to see what you create!
My card is created on a white card base. I cut a yellow stitched rectangle panel for the top layer. I used another size of the stitched rectangles to cut the window shape. I added a piece of patterned paper in the negative space to make it look like wallpaper. The little girl, the lamp and the books were stamped in black Memento ink using the MFT
Our Story stamp set. I colored the images with Copic Markers and cut them out with the matching dies. Wink of Stella was added for lots of shine to all the pieces. I did not add any more embellishments, since it is supposed to be a CAS card. That is always so hard for me. LOL!

I love colouring too Claire - and what a sweetie your little bookworm is! I love the addition of the DSP wallpaper behind your coloured image too. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute card Claire! I love that image... and what a fun sentiment. Such a creative idea for wallpaper too!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Oh my goodness, I adore this card Claire! This little cutie is colored perfectly and I love the flower wallpaper in her room. What a fabulous sentiment too....must go investigate this stamp set. Wonderful card, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable, Claire! I love the little girl all snuggled up with her books, and the patterned paper looks like old fashioned wallpaper. Such a fabulous scene!
ReplyDeleteThe card maker in me likes this card a lot for the beautiful colouring and clever details but the librarian in me loves it for the sentiment. The patterned wallpaper takes me right back to childhood, snuggled up and escaping in a world of books!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of my bedroom as a child...pink lamp, pink wallpaper, pink everything! An adorable card, Claire, and so beautifully colored as usual!
ReplyDeleteSorry I am so late in commenting this week! This is such a cute little scene, and your coloring is divine! WHo wouldn't want to snuggle down and read a book in this sweet little chair!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, this is just adorable Claire! I actually forgot this was a CAS challenge so I am happy I didn't do anything too crazy or I would have had to start all over again LOL.
ReplyDeleteClaire, what a fabulous scene you have created and you colored it beautifully, too. I could cuddle up in that chair and read a book anytime. I love the sentiment, too.
