North Pole --PP302 and SSC130

July 3, 2016

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!

The sensational Sandy is our hostess this week at The Paper Players.  Today is a special theme challenge, Christmas in July! What better way to cool down from the steamy summer temperatures than with a frosty holiday card. Cards for any winter holiday are welcome.  The sketch at Sunday Stamps was perfect for the card I had in mind.  We can't wait to see what you create!

The Paper Players are thrilled to announce that our Guest
Designers, Linda, Hannelie and Colleen were invited to stay on board for another 6 months. We are SO excited that they all agreed. Hooray!

My card is created on a Real Red card base.  The next layer is Whisper White and it is embossed  using the  Decorative Dots embossing folder from Stampin' Up!.  The next layer was cut with patterned paper using the SugarPea Designs  Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I cut a Garden Green Tag with the SugarPea Designs Gift Tag Dies.  The white tag was stamped using the Santa's Gift Tag stamp set from SugarPea Designs and cut using the same dies.  I stamped Santa and 25 Dec. in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed them  with green and red embossing powder.  The red North Pole tag was cut using  My Favorite Things Stitched Fishtail Flag die.  I stamped it in Versa Mark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

The little elf is from the SugarPea Designs Merry Makers stamp set.  It is stamped on Neenah Solar white and colored with Copic Markers.  The matching dies were used to cut out this little elf.  Wink of Stella was added for lots of shine.  I added a ribbon on the top of my tag and was so excited to complete my first Christmas card.  Thank you Sandy for giving me a push to get started on this year's stash.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!

  3. Sandy, you knew that this card was going to leave a pawprint on my heart. I knead this set! Your card is adorable... but I think not quite as adorable as the photos of Ollie - especially the one curled up with the yarn. Fabulous :-) I must admit, I'd be tempted to tick the "naughty" or "nice" box depending on the recipient :-)
