Hello--Always Playing With Paper -The Challenge #43

September 21, 2015

It's Monday and time for a new challenge at Always Playing With Paper--The Challenge!  We have a fantastic inspiration photo for you this week.  We can't wait to see what inspires you from the photo.

I thought a lot about my card before I created it.  My eye kept going to the bicycle, but I really wanted to do something different.  Then the little yellow lemons caught my eye, so that is the direction I took.  I started with a white base card.  The next layer was embossed with my brick wall embossing folder.  I used Gathered Twigs Distress ink and my blending tool to go around the edges and over some of the bricks for an aged look.

The lemons were stamped on white paper using a retired Stampin' Up! set called, "A Happy Thing."  I colored them with retired Stampin' Up Daffodil Delights Blendabilites and Old Olive Blendabilites were used on the leaves.  I fussy cut them and adhered them with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant-Hello Script.  I cut it out five times with Mossy Meadows card stock and glued them together for lots of dimension.  Wink of Stella was added to the sentiment and the lemons.  Sparkling sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added for extra shine!

Thank you very much for stopping by my blog today!  I love to hear from you, so please leave a comment!
