Celebrate Today-The Card Concept 35

May 14, 2015

I am playing along with the Card Concept today.  I really enjoy how they focus on the different styles of cards.  Today, I created a Clean and Layered card.  I always love lots of layers.  The color palette in the inspiration photo is gorgeous.

My base card is Crumb Cake (5 1/2 x 4 1/4).  I used my stitched rectangle dies to cut the next two layers.  Early Expresso and a piece of weathered wood paper was used.  I found the wood paper in my stash.

I used my Aqua Painter and used Calypso Coral, So Saffron and Pink Pirouette inks and painter a strip of color on watercolor paper.  I used the In Bloom -Maggie's Roses Cutaway Die and cut the base of the flowers from my watercolored pieces (one of each color).  Then I used the top layer of the rose die and cut three Crumb Cake pieces.  I adhered them with glue.  I really love the dimension it creates!

I cut three pairs of leaves with the dies from Pear Pizazz.  I stamped the banner and sentiment on Crumb Cake using Sahara Sand ink.  I liked the contrast of the color.  Two pearls were added on the banner.  This card is for my son and my bonus daughter for their anniversary.  She loves pearls, so I had to have a few on the card.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  I love to hear from you.  Please leave a comment!  It makes my day!

Have a fantastic day!

Hugs,
Claire
