Sparkle and Shine is hosting its second challenge. It is so exciting to participate and have a chance to win a gift card from Winnie and Walter! I am a huge fan of their site! Pretty Pink Posh is the other sponsor of this challenge and I LOVE their sequins ! I just received a new order, so I have a few more colors now!
Since April is right around the corner, I decided to use my new stamp, die and stencil set "Rain, Rain, Go Away" from Simon Says Stamp.
The first thing I did to create this card was cut my white layer using the rectangle stitched dies from Simon Says Stamp. I mixed Embossing Paste and Marina Mist re-inker together to create the paste for the raindrops. Using the stencil, I used the paste to create the raindrop background. A piece of patterned paper from my stash was added to the bottom section. I also found a piece of ribbon to match in my stash. It is a retired, Stampin' Up! Marina Mist ribbon. I mounted this piece on Daffodil Delight.
I colored this adorable little girl using a variety of Copic Markers. I added Glossy Accents to her boots to make them shiny. They remind me of my boots as a child. (I always wanted red ones!) I also added some Wink of Stella on the buckles and on her coat and hat for a little glisten. I cut the sentiment using a hexagon punch and sponged a little Marina Mist on the sides.
Pretty Pink Posh sequins were added to finish my card!
