I Adore You--PP295

 It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

 The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week!  She has a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for us!  Create your CAS project with a "WILD" animal on it!  We can't wait to see what you create!  




CAS is always difficult for me.  I like layers, so this may be a little too busy!  LOL!  My card base is Basic Black.  The next layer is Bermuda Bay embossed with a zebra embossing folder.  I added a strip of black and white polka dots across the top.  Two banners were cut with Calypso Coral and Basic Black using the MFT Fishtail Flag Stax Dies.  A stitched circle die was used for the white circle.  I stamped a zebra from the Zoo Babies set by Stampin' Up! in black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I fussy cut the zebra and used Stampin'  Dimensionals  to add dimension.  The sentiment is stamped and embossed, too.  Three black enamel dots were added for fun.

Congratulations on Your Big News--SPDSS53

It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch challenge at SugarPea Designs Challenge Team Sketch!



You have all month to play along with us! You are welcome to play along with all the sketches or just one but remember the more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning a $75 gift certificate to our store!!!



The rules are very simple…
  • Create a new card or project using the sketch provided.
  • SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :)
  • You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable.
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS53  so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz shown below.
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs store. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $75!
  • We will announce our Sweet Picks and our Main Winner at the end of each month.

My card was created using the adorable SugarPea Designs Tons of Fun stamp set.  I just love this little elephant.  He makes me smile!  I stamped him on Neenah Solar White paper with Momento Black ink.  Copic Markers were used to color him and I fussy cut him.  A circle die was used to cut the shape and the sentiment was stamped with black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I added lots of candy dots for fun.  Wink of Stella added shine to my image.

I Love You--The Challenge #72

 It's Monday and time for another challenge at The Challenge!

It is color challenge week.  This beautiful combination is so fabulous and I had so many ideas!  We can't wait to see what you create! 


I adore yellow roses, so I decided to stamp these gorgeous blooms from Altenew-Penned Roses on Neenah Solar White card stock and I colored them with Zig Watercolored Markers.  I fussy cut them and set them aside while I created my card.  The leaves are colored and fussy cut, too.  The card base is white card stock.  Marina Mist and patterns of Midnight Muse and Marina Mist from Stampin' Up were used on the background.  I used the MFT-Pinking Edge Circle Dies for the yellow and white starburst.  The sentiment from Altenew-Penned Roses is stamped in black Versa Fine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  Clear sparkling sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added for shine.  Wink of Stella was added on the roses for sparkle.
