You Warm My Heart Inspired BY 106

Jan. 9, 2019

It's time for a new challenge at Inspired By!

I hope your New Year is off to a great start!

It's a little chilly out and nothing tastes better than a cup of hot chocolate!

How does this photo inspire you?  It is the cup of hot chocolate, the red mittens, the white and black, the theme?  We can't wait to see what you create.

I was inspired by the theme, the red mittens and the black and white pattern.

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a black panel on top of the card.  Then I embossed a white panel with an embossing folder with snow flakes.  The mittens were created using the Stamps of Life Mittens 2 Stamp set and dies.  I used red paper for the mittens and some patterend black and white patterned paper for the cuffs of the mittens.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I heat embossed it in white powder.   The cup is from the Simon Says Stamp Coffee and Tea stamp set.  I colored the cup with Copic Markers and fussy cut it.  I added a band of patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Check out all the inspiration from the Design Team.  We sure hope you will play along with us this week!

Hello New Home Paper Players 472

Jan. 5, 2020

Happy New Year!  WOW---how strange is it to type 2020!!!!

I sure hope you had a wonderful holiday season.  I know I did and I enjoyed our little crafty break.

But, now it is time to play with The Paper Players!

The lovely Jaydee is our hostess and she has a very fun theme challenge for all of us!  Something NEW!  So many possibilities-- a new home, baby, pet, year, etc!  Have fun and get creative!

We also want to welcome our new guest designers for the year:  Allisa Steinlicht, Mary Deatherage and
Stef Perry .  We are thrilled they are joining us and look forward to all their fabulous creations!

My card is created for my son John.  I am so excited for him because he just closed on his first home.  I used the Honey Bee Stamps Threshold Dies to cut out the door.  I used black and two shade of grey for the panels on the door.  Silver foil was used for the mail slot and door handle.  I also cut the wreath from the same dies.  The snowman, rabbit and birds are from Honey Bee Stamps Snow Buddies stamps set.  I used Copic Markers to color these items.  The matching dies are used to cut out all the items.  John lives in Indiana so, this winter scene is perfect for January!
