February 10, 2016

It's time for a new sketch challenge at  SugarPea Designs Challenge Team Sketch!

You have all month to play along with us! You are welcome to play along with all the sketches or just one but remember the more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning a $75 gift certificate to our store!!!

Here's the sketch!

The rules are very simple…
  • Create a new card or project using the sketch provided.
  • SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :)
  • You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable.
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS40  so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz shown below.
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs store. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $75!
  • We will announce our Sweet Picks and our Main Winner at the end of each month.
  • The more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning!

I have a six year old grand daughter that is losing her teeth.  I knew she would love this tooth fairy seal and fairy from the SugarPea Fairy Sweet Stamp Set. .  She is a pink fan, so I colored this precious fairy with my Copic markers and added lot of Wink of Stella.  I added a black stitched circle frame around the seal that I cut out using the SugarPea Stitched Circle Dies.  I stamped a few extra teeth and added Wink of Stella for shine.  Three little banners were added for fun.  I turned them sideways because they gave the appearance of flying.  Hope my card made you smile!

Need a little inspiration?  Check out what the design team has for you!

Now it's your turn!  We'd love to see you at the Sugar Pea Designs Sketch Challenge!

Wool You Be Mine--PP281

February 7, 2016

It's Super Bowl Sunday!  (GO PEYTON and the Broncos)!!!!
It's my hubby's birthday!
It's time for a new challenge at the The Paper Players!

The Lovely LeAnne is our hostess and she has a fun theme challenge for all the fur baby lovers!  She wants us to use a cat or dog on our cards this week!

This card is for someone very special that LOVES cats and kittens.   I won't say any more because this is her Valentine and I know she will read my blog.  LOL!

My base card is white and the next layer is Melon Mambo card stock.  The Valentine papers are from my stash.  The Pretty Pink Posh-Stitched Film Strip Die was used to feature my adorable kittens.  The Clearly Besotted-Your Purrfect stamp set and Dies were used for the kittens and sentiment.  I colored them with Copic Markers.  Some white Baker's Twine, a button and Wink of Stella completes my card.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

Of Course I LOVE You! --cQc #327

February 4, 2016

I wanted to make a very special Valentine for my hubby.  He puts up with all my crazy ideas and whims.  LOL!  So, when I saw the colors at the Colour Q Challenge I knew just what I wanted to do.

These are my favorite colors and they worked perfectly for "my" dress.

I didn't want to make the card girly, so the Kraft paper was the perfect background.  I found this retired DSP from Stampin' Up! in my stash and loved the way it gave movement to my card.  I die cut this DSP using a Simon Says Stamp-Postage Die.  I also cut a Real Red rectangle using the same dies.  Neenah White Solar paper was used with Momento Black ink for my image. The stamp from Art Impressions-Tina Set is colored with a variety of Copic and Stampin' Up! Markers.  I worked the Cherry Cobbler into her balloon, hearts and sponged the main image and sentiment on the edges.   The sentiment was stamped in Momento Black ink and I used a circle punch to cut it out.  It was applied with dimensionals.  The banner die is from SugarPea Designs-Stitched Flags.  I cut around the balloon before I cut the image out with the die.  Lots of Wink of Stella was added for shine!

I hope my card made you smile today!  Please leave a comment!  I always love to hear from you!

Have a fabulous day!

HUGS!
