Smile, It Suits You! ctd299

July 7, 2014

It has been a typical Monday.  I just couldn't get my mojo today.  Not sure what the problem was, but hopefully, that will pass quickly.  Maybe it was the long weekend---

I made a card for the Color Throwdown Color Challenge this morning and forgot to post it!  Does that give you an idea of what I am talking about! The deadline is in an hour, so I have to rush through this blog.

I LOVE Tempting Turquoise, Strawberry Slush and Very Vanilla together and knew I just had to make a card.  I dug out a fun stamp set from Jillibean Soup and I hope it will make you smile.  I sure needed a smile today!

Eat Cake--As You See It Challenge #044 and NAC #96

July 6, 2014

I really like the colors at the Nacho Average Challenge this week and I have not been able to play along with them the last few weeks.  So, I searched around and found a new challenge I have never played before named, As You See It Challenge.  I thought their sketch was great and decided to combine the two challenges.  I love Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point, so I knew I would figure out a way to incorporate the Rose Red.  I hope you enjoy my card!

A Million & One Thanks!- FMS167

July 6, 2014

Today is a quiet day at my house.  We had to clean out the garage before the painters come and I swear, my front porch looks like the Beverly Hillbillies live here.  Good day to hide out in my craft room after all that work this morning.  The trouble is, I am so tired, I really think a nap sounds fabulous!

I hope your holiday weekend was wonderful and you were able to find time to do something your truly enjoy!

The Friday Mashup Challenge intrigued me this week.  It calls for a "Watercolor Wash" and a CAS card.  CAS--clean and simple with minimal layers----Ohhhh that is a tough one for me.  I love lots of layers.  I have really wanted to try the watercolor thing for a while, so I bought some distress inks and played around for quite a while.  I absolutely loved it!  It was so fun!  I made several different sheets of background watercolored paper and chose this one because it looked fantastic with my favorite "Tempting Turquoise" paper.  I hope you will enjoy my card!
