Wishing You a Blessed Easter The Paper Players Challenge PP779

March 29, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Ann is our hostess this week.  I love a Tic-Tac-Toe board and this one is just perfect to complete any type of card.  So have fun and get creative!

My card is created using the diagonal: die cut, flowers, layers.  Ann and I love layers so this is for her!

My card is created using a Melon Mambo background that I embossed with a bamboo embossing folder.  The envelope and ALL the flowers and foliage were created using Spellbinders Envelope of Wonder dies.  I will admit this card took a LONG time to create.  I cut leaves and flowers and then kept adding layers on the polka dot envelope. I love the colors and all the variety of flowers and leaves.  The sentiment if from an old Easter set that I found in my stash.  I added a Baker's Twine bow and pearls to complete my card.

Easter Greetings Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC382

 March 22, 2026

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

We have a fabulous sketch by Amy for all of you to play along with.  This is such a great layout and you can make any type of card with it.  So have fun and get creative.

I found this great piece of plaid in my stash and decided it would make a great Easter card.  I used an Easter egg die that I had and cut the first layer in white and then the inside egg was embossed with an embossing folder.  The little Vintage Bunny is from Trinity Stamps. I used the matching die  to cut him out.  I colored him with Copic Markers and added Wink of Stella for shine.  The greeting is from the same set.  I added three green enamel dots to complete my card.

Magical Journey The Paper Players Challenge PP774

March 22, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

I am the hostess this week and I have a fun and versatile sketch for all of you!  You can make any type of card with this sketch.  So grab your supplies and get creative.  Have fun!

My card is created for Miss Addison's 17th birthday. (I can't believe she will be 17!)  She loves all things pink, Disney, books and bows.  I found the Disney castle stamp in my stash.  I don't think it was ever used.  I stamped it in Versa Mark and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.  It is really shiny!  I cut a book mark die for the banner element.  She can take it off the card and use it in a book.  I added a pink background with lots of polka dots.  I cut the heart borders and added them to a blue rectangle panel.  A white bow and a few rhinestones because every girl needs some bling completed my card.

You Color My World The Paper Players Challenge PP777

March 15, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us.  "Florals" is the theme.  It will be a colorful gallery this week, so pull out those floral stamps and join us.  Just remember to keep it CAS!

CAS week calls for lots of white space, so I started with a white card base and added a Coastal Cabana oval and topped it with a white embossed oval to create the frame for my paintbrush.  The Spellbinders Artful Tulip Die Set was used to create the paintbrush and tulips. I can't find it on the Spellbinders site, but you might be able to find it by searching. So many ways to use this die.  I need to create more with it.  I added yellow tulips and the sentiment is from an MFT stamp set.

WOW--You Made My Day The Paper Players Challenge PP776

 March 8, 2026

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Joanne is our hostess this week.  She has a very fun color challenge for all of us.  "Colors of the Rainbow" is the theme. Your project doesn't have to include an actual rainbow (although that's fine too!), rather it should contain a rainbow of colors as its focus.

I purchased the Simon Says Stamp Ocean Horizon Wafer die and have been waiting for this challenge.  I will say I was frustrated getting all the pieces cut and had to make 2 before I got one that I was happy with.  I did trim it down to be framed on the purple base.  I sponged red ink around the rainbow to add more depth.  The WOW letters were cut 4 times and stacked for dimension.  The sentiment is from the matching stamp set.  This was an MFT set and they are no longer in business.  I added two black enamel dots to complete my card.  I love the way it turned out and will be playing more with this die.

Fear Not----Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC381

 March 8, 2026

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

We have a gorgeous color combo for you this week.  Make sure you use at least 3 of the colors in your creation.  Have fun and get creative!

Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card this week.  My dear friend lost her husband.  It was difficult to create this card, but I felt the color combo was perfect for a more masculine card.  I added a strip of woven paper from SU and then created a navy panel. I mounted a white rectangle that I embossed with a wood embossing folder.  I added khaki ink on top of the embossing with a sponge.  The leaves and blooms were created using a Stampin Up set called Forever Ferns.  It is a favorite of mine and I will always keep it in my stash.  I used the Forever Flourishing matching dies to cut out the foliage.  The sentiment was stamped using an old SU set called "Rose Wonder."   I stamped it on Crumb Cake card stock and stamped it with matching ink.  I sponged the outside of the sentiment for more depth.
