It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.
The Amazing LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a very fun Color Challenge for all of us! We can't wait to see what you create! You know I love bright colors so, I had a lot of fun ideas for this challenge!
I wanted to make something fun with these colors, but unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card this week. I used Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron Distress oxide inks to create the panel on watercolor paper. I heat embossed the dandelions and sentiment with white embossing powder using the Simon Says Stamp Dandelion Messages stamp set. I splattered the panel with water. I added a Tahitian Tide panel to the top of a white card base. I added white pearls to complete my card.
- Please provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge entry.
- Please link your card to no more than four challenges, TOTAL, including ours
- Please be considerate of our requests; entries that do not follow any of these rules will be deleted without notification.
- Have fun, and thank you for playing with us!

I love sympathy cards that are little more uplifting, and this is perfect! Such a pretty and thoughtful way to use my colors this week!

Claire, I am in awe, I never would have thought to use these colors for a sympathy card. You, for sure made it work. So tasteful and heartwarming. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty card, Claire, and one I would appreciate if I received it. It's nice to use LeAnne's bright colors to brighten the day.
ReplyDeleteXoxo, Fran
I think this is a great example of why we shouldn't shy away from using bright colours for sympathy cards - that inked panel is fabulous Claire and the colours and simple dandelion image are both serene and uplifting at the same time. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis will certainly cheer up the receipant! Beautiful use of the colors. TFS
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with everyone else in the comments. I wouldn't think of these colors initially for a sympathy card but you made them work beautifully. I love the clean layout, the embossed detail and the gorgeous background.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful sympathy card, Claire! The colors exude hope and an uplifting of the soul. The dandelions are a wonderful image to use. Of course, the pearls are the perfect accent.
