HAPPY EASTER/Passover to ALL that celebrate this Blessed Season! I hope your weekend is filled with special moments!
I am the hostess at The Paper Players this week. April Showers bring May Flowers so, let's get creative and celebrate Spring in all it's glory! Remember- CLEAN AND SIMPLE should have minimal layers, minimal embellishments and lots of white space.
Sunday Stamps has an amazing pastel color challenge for you to use. Such pretty, happy Spring colors!
My card is created on a white card base. I cut a top panel in white using the MFT Inside & Out Stitched Arch Dies. I stamped the little girl, the puddles and rain drops using BB Rain of Shine Stamp Set. I colored the girl and puddles using Copic Markers. I paper pieced her jacket with pink card stock and added white polka dots with a gel pen. The sentiment is stamped in black using the same stamp set. I added Glossy Accents to her boots and the rain puddles for dimension. Wink of Stella was added in her hair.

What a cutie patootie, out jumping in puddles! I love the soft colors you used, Clair. She is definitely stylin' in her paper pieced rain coat! An adorable card which will make the lucky recipient smile. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes, Claire, this is adorable - love this image and your delicate coloring! What a perfect take on our color challenge, and a sweet, whimsical design!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute scene! I love the sentiment too.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable little puddle-jumper Claire - I love her polka-dot rain coat and the pink raindrops too! Perfect for PP this week and I can't wait to play at Sunday Stamps too!
ReplyDeleteYour little girl is adorable, Claire! I have two blonde nieces that look like her :) I love how you added polka dots to her jacket. Thanks for a fun challenge!
ReplyDeleteAww, I love this stamp set, this little girl is adorable in her pink polka dotted jacket. The arched stitched die frames it beautifully! I loved this challenge, thank you!
ReplyDeleteGreat theme for this current challenge! We've been getting our share of April showers here in my neck of the woods. I adore your adorably sweet card Claire...that MFT image is precious!
ReplyDeleteThis little cutie is just adorable...and you did a perfect job coloring her, as you always do!
ReplyDeleteYour card is just so sweet! (I considered creating a card with the same stamp and one other but went with the boots!) Thank you so much for picking my card has the Headliner at the Paper Players. I love tulips, too!
ReplyDeleteClaire, your card is adorable and your little cutie makes me want to go and splash in puddles. I still feel like doing that - even at my age - but I think the neighbors would call for the padded van if I did indulge that urge:-) Fabulously colored images, too!
