I had a few extra minutes so, I wanted to play along with the lovely ladies at Freshly Made Sketches. I love the sketch this week because I am all about "square" cards.
A few weeks ago, I was driving through Alabama on the way back from the beach with girlfriends. All along the way we saw beautiful fields of cotton. I knew that I had to buy this stamp from Altenew. It is called Cotton Comfort. I stamped and then shaded the cotton with Copic Markers and cut is out using the matching dies. Wink of Stella was added for shine. I used a white card base, Early Expresso background and Crumb Cake for my top layer. I stenciled the top portion using Memento Cocoa ink. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. A few sequins were added to complete my card. I think this card will be comforting to the recipient.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Love how you stenciled part of the background to mimic the sketch! It works so well with this stunning cotton flower ! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
ReplyDeleteI like how you did the sketch by stenciling the dots. It's a great accent that still keeps all the focus on the cotton! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
