SMILES---FMS 200 and ctd356

August 20, 2015

Today is a very special blog because it is for the Freshly Made Sketches 200th Challenge!  WOW!  That is such an amazing accomplishment.  I have to admit, I have played along since I started card making and the Design Team has been a valuable resource for me.  The inspiration and ideas I have received from their work is priceless!  So ladies, THANK YOU for all you do for us!  Best Wishes on your achievement!!!!!!!

I am also playing along with the Color Throwdown Challenge!  The colors this week are orange, black and green!  I wanted to use my new stamp and die set by WPlus 9--Doodle Buds.  It is such a fun, whimsical set!

My base card is white.  (5 1/2 X 4 1/4)  The next layer is Tangerine Tango. (5 1/4 X 4)  I stamped the retired Stampin' Up! Hardwood stamp on an extra piece of white with black ink.  I did stamp it off once, so it looks more gray.  I cut off two panels of the wood to use as my trim pieces.  I adhered the woodgrain piece, the white strip at the top and then attached the trim.  I added two Basic Gray candy dots to appear as nails.  It is a little difficult to see the top piece of trim because is it covered by the flowers.

I stamped a variety of flowers and leaves on watercolor paper and colored them with my Zig Clean Brush Markers.  The more I use them, the more I love them.  The colors are so bright and vibrant.  I used the Winnie and Walter--Smiles Die for my sentiment.  I cut it out 5 times with Basic Black card stock and used my two way glue pen to adhere them together.  Lots of Wink of Stella was used on the flowers, leaves and sentiment for shine and sparle!

I am so happy you stopped by my blog today.  Thank you!  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I do love to hear from you!

Have a TERRIFIC THURSDAY!

HUGS!
Claire
