I am waiting to board a plane to Indiana to visit my Mom and attend my family reunion on Sunday. I made this card last night for the Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge and I used the beautiful color combo at Colour Me...!
Watermelon Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky and a Neutral had me stumped at first. I didn't want to use flowers, so I decided a nice, cool refreshing ice cream would be perfect in these colors. Since it is high 90's here, I want popsicles/ice cream all the time!
My card base is White and the next layer is cut with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Elle-ments die. I just love it. I embossed it with a SU embossing folder. I cut a white doily with the "Bunch of Stitched Doily" dies by My Creative Time.
I stamped the popsicle on white card stock in Watermelon Wonder ink. The stick was stamped in Soft Sky. I realized I didn't buy the die set, so I had to fussy cut the popsicle. I added it to the doily with foam tape. Two banners were cut using the Subtles Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! I heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set with black Versa Fine and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Twine was added around the popsicle stick and Soft Sky Candy dots were added for fun.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts. I love to hear from you!
Have a great weekend!
